Doing well on BBEANS AI. Just beat TuniT, Inertial Deathlock, Red, Red, Red and Fight or Flight. Quite please, tbh.

iTunes is fine on my old laptop with rubbish hardware, and my iPod Touch 4th gen... In fact iTunes works so well I use it as my primary music player. >.<

I also use it as my main media player, but the iStore in iTunes is iTerrible for me.

I meant 2.53GHz, I was looking @ the wrong thing.

About Stock, I thought it was OK, but needed a more powerful Spin Motor. Then I saw Absolute Chaos, and bots like that, and I just got DSL. Stock = 36 Mace/Iron HS territory. Any other bot really struggles, IMO. You need a v. good bot to beat a mediocre 36 HS

How are you guys getting on in 123AI? If you're finding it hard, I'll more than struggle. I have one bot I would classify as 'Good - OK', the rest are.. meh. When I was lurking I saw 123's showcase. I know for a fact that his robots will wipe the floor with me.  :frown:
                          badgering
Anyway, I'm still beavering away at BBEANS AI.

I know what it is. Most of the NAR AI and BBEANS AI have wedges. I get quite lucky with my wedges, so I'm not doing to badly there. However, if I remember rightly, 123's showcase has more wedgeless bots than most showcases, Therefore they don't need to be under my bot to do damage = Bad for me.

[Edit] Just use the 'Modify' button instead of posting consecutively unless they're in totally different contexts (replies to comments + showcasing a new bot), okay? :D - Pwn Ok, sorry.

Just get 123 AI, it's probably the toughest AI around, so you may aswell take the plunge.

...

Actually, I don't think I'd gain anything from being KO'd within 30 seconds.

Have been testing AP 1.5 in BBEANS AI. It's tougher than NAR, but I'm doing OK. I've won about half my matches, by I've gone up against the old bots, mainly.

Storm 2 hands down. Full body hammers are the way to go. Granted they got screwed in series 7 because a "box on wheels" is "boring."
But for me it has to be gravity.
Best flipper in all of RW IMO.

Yeah, I remember seeing gravity on TV. It was an amazing bot.
I remember when it flipped DTK right oota in a few seconds...

I remember that... I was like  :realmad(

Still, I like gravity too, even if it was a bit generic and the design was a bit boring.

The FS I was talking 'bout:

No battle shots, as it is bad in battle. It can beat some popups and Second Sentinel.

Irons on BSGs for looks, trapping (Not very well, but they can), and quick self-righting.

3 ants and a battlepack.

Make something without wedges.. :P

Only bot types that work w/o wedges:

SnS: Hate this. Cheap, IMO (Mainly beacuse I find it hard to beat them. =P)

Thwacker: I think this is like Stinger from RW? Anway,Dislike these

VS: Just tried one, not even worth attempting to improve.  :(

HS: Even worse @ these than VSes

Rammer: See VS

Drum: See VS

SS!!!ONE!!!!!
Umm... i mean try improving you're SS skills  :gawe:
Or FS?

I made a FS a couple days ago. It's not too good but is a nice bot nonetheless, I like it, but not because it's good in battle. I'll post it soon.

Improve your flipper making skills :D
*smacks vertigo to one side*
Improve your VS skills, they're a very fun bot type, or just try to do something new and/or experimental.

VSes and nice and fun, but I think tha tit is too easy to kill them with decent front armour. Just drive right under them. Although, I could make them better in that respect...

Improve your flipper making skills :D

I make flippers for fun, to use with other replicas. I can't make ones that compete with popups, HSes, VSes ect.

I have Vuze. The only problem with it is that it doesn't stream music to my Xbox like it promised. It did on my old desktop.

I usually get my music from BeeMP3.com. Very good, fast and secure website, and iTunes is painless when I steer clear of the Store of Doom. But I want apps, which I buy on my iPod, but when my iCredit iRuns out, iHave to add more on iTunes.

Not sure where to go now, after Acid Pain.  :( It's defo my best bot so far, and I can't really follow it up. I could make an equally good popup, but I've made too many of them. I just tried a rammer, and it can only beat a few of the NAR AI bots. I can't build competitive VSes or flippers, I can't build HSes at all, and I don't fell like a sawbot ATM. Any ideas?

Off-Topic Discussion / iTunes rant, worst software ever?
« on: February 21, 2011, 01:40:01 PM »
Rant/explanation here:

So, how do I speed up iTunes, and why is it so slow? My suspicion is that iTunes is purposely hideous on PC, with Apple making Macs and all. I'm on a perfectly capable Dell Vaio laptop with 3GB ram, an Intel Pentium Dual CPU (200GHz) and 224 GB of possible space on the HDD, with 127GB left to use.

If you had the weight you might be able to swap the top razors for some ds teeth.
But i think it's fine atm  ;)
Sounds good, I'll try to make weight for it.

A little, but it works fine hitting the low then jumping up to the high ones.
