Punch-Out has 110kg left to play with, I'd say use up as much of that as possible. Use the biggest, most powerful VDMA bursts, if you aren't already. Upgrade the front panel to steel, if it isn't already. Dunno whether it's worth upgrading the chassis armour or drive, but you might want to do that too, if you can.
Looks great though, I like the idea of using the chassis as the head rather than the base/torso.

You may want to slightly downgrade the weapon so you can fit better drive and batteries in. I reckon a small DSL disc with four Typhoon teeth will hit even harder, should save you some weight, and you can put like a Lightning spike or something on the middle of the disc so it doesn't get stuck on it if it's flipped.

...now on that topic, why do we only have saws and 'chewblades' (which are saws too)? Making concrete cutting and grinding discs/blades should be relatively simple.
They're also very ineffective IRL, you wouldn't usually see one on a combat robot. There is the Potter's Wheel grinding disc - it deals pretty mediocre damage but has great HP so it's good for a tanky robot. I agree with the others: this bot would look better with Typhoon teeth or maybe the big ripping teeth, and would also do more damage. Your armour seems a little excessive too (which feels weird coming from a guy who also builds tanky bots...) You can definitely save a little weight on armour and beef up your weapons and supports more. Finally, the wedges aren't very IRL. Try swapping them for some steel or titanium extender wedges (you can find them under beater bars in the Weapons tab). They'll look better, they jsut be just as effective, and they also deal a little damage at the same time. Looks promising though! I'd like to see it upgraded.

Velocity may have gone out immediately but it took out Radioactive Material in the process, which is pretty sweet.

I mean, 3rd is still my best result in any major tournament event, so even through I only really got it through luck of the draw, it's still nice to have. That was great fun, looking forward to the MW rumble now, mah boi Discontent might actually win a couple rounds

Gee I wonder who build #7 :really-makes-you-think:
I'm gonna have fun choosing between these.

So does this mean I can lay claim to being the best DSL flipper builder on GTM Great fights, some of them made me burst out laughing. Great tournament overall. Guess it's just the awards left?

Me: I should get round to building an entry for Annihilation Nation-- Me to me: Rebuild Vertigo for the 7000th time So yeah, here's a version of Vertigo with a single large Minion disc that doesn't clip through the motor. Armour's not as strong, weapon's not as powerful (Perm 80 instead of Perm 132), and it gets deweaponed by MechaVore which is kinda worrying... but on the other hand, I think it looks pretty darn good. Now I will admit: the right-hand disc support is actually attached to the left-hand disc support via a 40cm extender that passes straight through the disc, as I couldn't be bothered to try positioning a matching baseplate anchor on the other side (the left-hand disc support isn't lined up properly to start with). There is an anchor on the right-hand side, but it's attached to the disc support, not vice versa. I don't think this invalidates its IRL-ness, as it's purely for aesthetic reasons and creates the illusion that the supports are actually physically attached to the disc. (I'd also like to add that I tried building one with two Mini Minions powered by a dual E-Tek, but I couldn't armour the motor without it looking dumb)

Well first of all, if it's a flipper, it's gonna need more battery power than that. Replace those with a couple of the black batteries, maybe more if you have the weight. The flipper itself looks alright but you probably want to replace those 45deg angles on the front with a pair of titanium or steel wedges. As for self-righting, there's not much advice I can give you in that regard.

Those are looking pretty good! I always liked the look of Barry. Shame it went out so early.

Wow, that is awesome. I love it. I gotta try building something like that sometime.

I'd join this. Wouldn't mind another CW tournament. The obvious problem is that some of these bots aren't as effective as others, and some are harder to build in RA2 than others. The person who gets HS stands much more of a chance than the person who gets spearbot, for instance. That's just my opinion, though. I'm not saying it's impossible to win a tournament with a spearbot or a wedge, it's just a lot harder than winning it with a Tombclone HS.

Went to upgrade BBS's drive, ended up w/ a SHW version.
(Image removed from quote.)
Tornado Mer Gearboxes for drive, cause why the hell not. Steel plating all around. 1150ish lbs.
On a scale of 1 to Series 3 Stinger, how wildly uncontrollable is that bot now Because I have a feeling it's somewhere near "Series 3 Stinger"

That HW final though O.o Also hats off to Labrys for finishing second when I didn't think it would even get out of its group, and well done for DoT for being the only guy to reach multiple finals (and winning one of them!)
Well done to the winners! The grudge match that immediately comes to mind for me is Velocity v Reptilian. Let's also have a four-way HW flipper frenzy: Terminal Velocity v Delta DX v Launch Pad 2 v John the Robbut.

Discord there, neatly proving why I value durability so much. Shame the rumble it was in was cancelled, but never mind.
Nice tourney Kurt!

Armour in Ironforge is pretty light so I like using Steel 10 (as you can see from StackOverflowException, even then I sometimes struggle to hit the weight limit). I probably wouldn't scale either of them down unless I could think of something REALLY important I could do with the extra weight.
I've tested OutOfBoundsException against a few different HWs, and I've lost a grand total of one tooth during that time, so the weapon seems to hold up okay. I should probably test it against some of the more deadly spinners though, because I'm probably not gonna be facing the likes of Rotor and Arthropod in Ironyforge :P

If you're going for unrealistic, you might as well go the full 9 yards and make it invertible. Angling the tank treads would accomplish just that.
I'll look into that. In the meantime, Thracker's Ironyforge tourney has gotten me building actual serious bots again. I've come up with two HW ideas so far, both named after C# glitches in honour of my profession. The first is a fairly generic VS: The second is a small, fast rammer/flamethrower hybrid (I like flamethrowers). It might not look that impressive but if it hits you at the right angle, with the right run-up, it can deal ludicrous amounts of damage. Still have 30kg to play with, I'm sure I can add a top panel and maybe one on the back. I'm also working on a MW bot with a ninja star drum thingy, that I made a couple of months ago and forgot about, so I'll post that shortly as well.

I think that was at least a better performance than Discontent's. Dentophobia did much better this tournament than I thought it would.
Godspeed, Kyros' Power. Godspeed.

well that was probably the second-most embarrassing performance of my GTM career
I lost to a thwackbot without a thwacking arm for Christ's sake
also I can't believe my batteries lasted so long in the Valhalla fight but then packed up entirely in the Radioactive Material fight... guess it's time I retired the DisHarmony series and started from scratch.
