I also always wonder how people get these high quality skins in RA2. For me, everything always turns out in the typical bad RA2 quality.
You want to resize the .bmp file to either 512x512, or 1024x1024. Anything higher is a waste, in my view. Bear in mind that you won't be able to modify it in-game if you up the resolution, though.
I see. I'll keep it in mind. This should allow for some better looking skins for me for a change.

That was a pretty good bot you had there. Hoped to knock off those poly skirts. Probably should have gone with sending the older Nightbox 2 instead of going for better wedge... Or Hexametric. Oh well.

Is it really that rare to get a bot that is already AI'd? Also, you still have Inferna (LW Flamer)? It's going to get a bit more action.
