You should drop a 406 in the '83. You know, just for fun.

I'm pretty sure they apply to DSL too. Mainly because the people who run the forum are the main people responsible for creating DSL.

Yeah, I know what automotive machine shops do...
They do just about everything that requires machining in an engine, from grinding crankshafts to possibly machining a new engine block. We use the services of one to do anything we need machined for our pulling tractors. Things like grinding crankshafts, boring cylinders, grinding camshafts, machining new rods, and even some machine work on the carrier in the rear end usually. 4727

I estimate that it can do about 15-20 mph, and you're right they are geared pretty low.
This tractor, on the other hand...: has been clocked pulling the sled 22 mph. It has a motorcycle engine in it, not sure of the size. I took this picture, but it's hard to catch with a digital camera. Here is a link to a video I took of it pulling: Check this one out, too: I almost got run over, but I moved just in time. 4729

Don't see many cars like that in the Mid-US, let alone slammed. It's pretty cool though.
Edit: A note on my pulling tractors: The blue one used to have blue street glows underneath it, a blue light-up shifter knob, and blue Tireflies (motion-sensitive light-up valve stem caps). It was pretty cool, but we took it all off when it got repainted. I hope to put it all back on someday. 4732

Just reformat and hope for the best, stop going to porn sites/using limewire and download a safe browser like firefox with noscript plugin, damn. Doesn't Nar have a Mac? If he does, there is only one known virus that effects Macs. 4733

My bot, I think could make it to round one. If it doesn't, then it's not a big deal. I went from not even having an idea to having a fully built robot in like an hour. Just thought it would be fun to enter.

9 is a DSL bot, and I'm pretty sure that the rules said stock only... Edit: I bet 9 was a late entry for last month's BotM, and it got put in by mistake. 4737

I don't think it's a cheat. I have a clean copy of DSL, and I could have swore i saw a jaw in there.
Edit: It was Sir Killalot's Claw that I was thinking of, but it might work for the top jaw. 4738

Your cocky attitude is going to be your downfall. Take this advice: Don't ever say "I'm going to beat you" or anything like that. Try admitting that your robot sucks, even if you don't think it does. I always say things like that, because I know that if you talk your bot up and it loses in the first round, then you are going to have to hear about it for a while. If you say that it's not-so-good, then if it does well it makes you look good. Do you see what I'm saying? Does anyone see what I'm saying? 4740
