Hey, just bought the Ibanez RG320PG today. Sounds great and the tremolo stays in tunes surprisingly well for a non-Schaller produced trem. Bit of fretbuzz but overall it's very good and I got it for a bargain price. Looks great too.

I've been having fun with this bot for like 2 days now, so I think it deserves to be posted.

I suppose the Duals are necessary because it's not using flails, but they work fine with lower power motors like normal TWMR3s if they do have flails.
Good though.

I've been inactive, BUT... Here's a new bot:
(Image removed from quote.)
A "WhataretheycalledagainbecauseIforgot" with 8 Razors and 1mm Titanium (I Think...). Type away!
Hooray, a TRFBD! (I can't believe I made the first of these, it was such a simple idea:P)
That is a very decent bot, but the chassis isn't very well protected.

(Image removed from quote.) Try to clone this bot. It uses the eFFe glitch. Sage has a tutorial about it. Find it in Tutorials and Tips.
Red-Ace built a bot that is slightly better and easier to make at some point. Don't know where in his showcase though.
*BOT*
Just a note, if your wedges are sucking, it's because your batteries are located behind your drive motors. Generally having them in line or in between the drive motors.
Also, you may want separate snappers for the wedges. Wedges tend to suck if you have too much weight mounted on them.

I'm kind of all. I mean, I've developed a bot type that looks like a diabetic hedgehog. Go figure.

And now I'll get banned or something >.<
I don't think you will for talking to them- I mean, look at me- I've talked back to all of them (except for Starcore, IIRC)  at least once, and there was no ban for me   ;)
Yes, but boss, you CONTRIBUTE

All I do is cause chaos and start flame wars and kill and derail topics.
Build a bot as well as you can then. I will help the best I can, as I'm that sort of person.

Why scream when you can death metal growl?
Meshuggah - Autonomy Lost
Hooray for Catch Thirty Three.

Skiitzzox, try Morbid Angel. I am trying to convert people to classic death metal fans so accessibility goes out the window.

Actually I've had my Metallica signature since day one.  After 3 years of constant failure I completely neglected to see the tutorial threads in this forums, I found what I wanted (thanks Sage). I thought you had to cheat to stack components, but I see it's just a case of exploiting the game engine (It's still hard though).

Oh, and one last question (it's nothing really): Can you guys build me a bot that will beat all your bots? =)

Thanks for all the positive help =D
We're actually working in that in the Ultimate Robot thread.

Existing Games / Re: Angry Birds

I did get slightly sick of it when EVERYONE at my high school was playing it. Couldn't eat my lunch without "angrybirdsangrybirdsangrybirds". That's literally what was going on.

I can't eat my lunch without "blackopsblackopsblackopsblackops".

:P

I can't eat my lunch without "minecraftminecraftminecraftminecraft".
I can't eat my lunch without "GrandtheftautoGrandtheftautoGrandtheftautoGrandtheftauto"

:P

Really? None of my friends talk about that game anymore.
Unfortunately, yes. Funny really, because the only thing fun about it nowadays to me is driving cars off piers.
Jump off a tall building after dropping a grenade a few milliseconds before hand.

Or they could just fight a caster armoured brick bot :P

lol, surprisingly enough i haven't damaged it yet, despite how frustating it's been.

And my budget, I could probably stretch it to a grand. Ideally want a 7 string really.
And there went my KV2 idea:P

Don't be hip and buy a seven string; go get a B.C. Rich Stealth or something vague like that. Or a Peavey Tomb.
lol, how is a 7 string hip? A lot of popular metal bands use them. It kinda sucks.
I just want the extra range, what's so bad about that? ;P
Downtuning works for me. Any lower than B and your creeping into lame territory.

yay, guitars...

Malmsteem? Never heard of them, i'll have to look em up at some point.
Damien? I really wanted to try the 7 string version of that, by what you just said, I REALLY want to.
V's? Urgh, I hate playing v shapes, it's a shame, coz I love the way they look, but they're just too impractical for me.
Gibsons? NO, they suck, there is no justification to buying a gibson over really any other guitar make in the same price range!

Anyway, good timing, as it's recently been agreed between me and my parents that my Ibanez is being sent back, because the bridge was already f****ed from the moment we got it (the knife edge is patheticly weak) and replacing it with an upgraded spec bridge would be so costly that I may aswell just get a refund and buy a new guitar.
So, yeah, as it turns out, I need to go guitar shopping again
Whut's your budget?

Some suck. Gibson's are worth trying if you see them at a shop but they generally have poor equality control.
And the LTD JH-600 is a very good choice of guitar. I recommend it.

That's X series, so it's fine. You might want to be careful with the Licensed Floyd as it isn't as good as the original you can find on Schecters or the Kahlers you find on B.C. Rich's. B.C. Rich is very good and worth consideration if you buy a high end one.
I've been looking at B.C. Rich's as well. I really like the Wartribe. :D
I also Carvin because you can customize your guitar with the specs you want and it's not that overpriced.
Someone has been watching dmometalguitar'd videos
There is only one Carvin dealer in the UK. It be funneh.
But I don't know how much a stock Carvin costs, as they do exist and Carvin makes black V220s as a production model. But it sounds amazing, and I WILL own a Carvin at some point.
Yes someone has. :gawe:
Well, he's right. The Shred-X sucks and teh Tribal doesn't XD
