And I didn't credit him anyway so what goes around comes around hey

LOOK AT ME

My entry for HFT4. My track record in IRL tournaments isn't the best (Barring some notable exceptions) so I thought i'd make something pretty.

Because he's the one who chooses if it gets broken if Eric gets drawn against Thor, Tiberius, Gripper, Kan Opener at al.
Are those really the robots can break things? Especially Kan Opener, a side crusher with no wedge?
Just because we don't have spinners on the UK Circuit doesn't mean we still can't break things. They all have the possibility to be pretty destructive.

It doesn't like driving sometimes but apart from that.

445
By the time the wheelguards would come into play we would probably have lost a wheel so they wouldn't have mattered anyway.

446
Tried out another layout

I really don't get Ironforge.

447

You can take the man out of DSL...

448
My father's thinking was that they'd deflect blades away from the wheels, which is why they were pointing directly towards the wheels yeah I have no idea either.

449
Kind of bland tbh. Add some wheelguards or something to make it more interesting.
i assume you don't know of the legend that was malc 1.5

To be fair Malc 1.5 did have wheelguards

Real Robotics Discussion / Re: Have you met one of the Builders?
« on: August 13, 2015, 04:23:27 PM »
-Met John Reid at the qualifiers at roughly Series 5 time, I got to sit next to Terrorhurtz which was so cool.
-I was on Series 7 and Extreme 2 of Robot Wars and got to meet a lot of teams there, we turned up on the day of the grand final and were around to see Team Storm get robbed! They weren't best pleased.
-We attended a roadshow event in Woking (I think?) and when Pussycat got flipped out of the flimsiest MDF arena I have ever seen it created some shrapnel which I ran in, stole some of and promptly got berated by Michael Lambert of Team Dantomkia for. I got everyone there to sign it including Team Plunderbird, Wheely Big Cheese, Scorpion, Bigger Brother, Razer, Tornado (I borrowed their pen and then thought to go
et their autographs an hour later) and many more. I still have it upstairs.

So to answer your question yes.

451
This is a work of art! You know nothing about fine dining!

I'll skin it later to add some features that were on Malc 1.5 (Caster "Eyes"), but yeah. This was just me remembering the past a bit, and how this robot started a long standing tradition of Team Driving Force never winning a match.

Fight me.

Built for a future Battlebots thing.

454
It's not too bad inverted, still prefers being the right way up though.

And thanks!

Changed the weapons to some less bad razors.

Off-Topic Discussion / Re: You nerds should play Splatoon
« on: August 11, 2015, 01:42:19 PM »
Good to see Jonzu is still making as much sense as my dementia riddled grandmother.

And Splatoon is alright. Not worth buying a wii u for though. Good to play around a friends house.

457

I'll be honest I hit a point where I just started attaching stuff.

458
Yeah I might just reskin them navy blue or something in my copy of Ironforge.

This now obeys the realistic rule and seems to be a bit more effective.

459
So apparently the hip new thing is to build in Ironforge. Which means I have to learn what all the good stuff is.

The last time I took a screenshot in this garage I think it was Voulez-Vous for Ironbot.

Not sure where I was going with this robot, I was just playing around with things and remembered an old robot I made. And my cop out excuse for the realism rule is the tribars could probably be timed to avoid each other.

So much purple.

And yep, I repurposed him for this.
