Why would anyone think that's a good idea when there's a perfectly good thread here? Not as if the old stuff 'taints' the thread.. otherwise everyone's showcases would, in most cases, be pretty bad forever.

Not that anyone has showcases round here anymore.

I mean, what even is RA2?

I tend to spam rockets as soldier when there's a sentry I don't like around. But yes, you get used to the insanity, it's what brings you back.

Chatterbox / Re: The F1 Thread

I don't really watch F1 but I was round my Mum's this weekend and her boyfriend is fanatical, because he used to work on F1, so I watched the race today, wow, was pretty amazing. I like Webber though, shame he messed up, and I don't like Vettel, shame all the accidents and incidents went his way again.

I'll let someone more uptodate help you with most of it, but I would recommend not using the ice-picks on the last one, and also not using Polycarbonate extenders to hold any weapons on a spinner on, as it will break very easily.

The BMTH is the only thing worth stamping on your worm-ish form for. The rest I have absolutely no opinion on.

It's not worth stamping on me for, for one simple reason. It's my musical taste, and not yours, and you don't have to even listen to any of it let alone like it. :3

Done, for now. Is appropriate to my opinion right now. Deserves a new post.

Don't like it? Don't care. Get over it.

somewhat elitist opinion.

I am the musical outcast of Game Tech Mods.

Nope. But everyone seems to criticize each others taste round here which shouldn't happen. Also just noticed innerpartysystem. Bonus cookies for you.

I'll get to mine in a bit...

I'll be honest, it was hard to decide.

Origin of Symmetry in top 4, with Deftones, Rammstein, RATM and stuff elsewhere?
I like you.

Did all the last few years of Halloween stuff in the space of about 2 hours last night. Including 2 piles of curses and opening a crate. Joyous times. SPy with Voodoo Soul, Scarecrow and Gibus looks awesome.

...big flywheels with small wheels. Basically, I want to see less robots like the ones you see in the usual robot showcases.

Where are you seeing this nowadays? HS and VS are totally outdated and outclassed in DSL at least.

ITT inf syndrome "im not appreciated enough for what ive done"

Myes. Tournament videos never get huge amounts of views. It's only people that are in it or have been following it. Personally I have not seen it because I am not interested in stock or AWs

A note to ian:  The appreciation for antweights is fairly low.  The matches are unfortunately boring and hardly destructive.  While, I do love the challenge of building something small.  The excitement of watching it battle is non-existent.  I do appreciate that you like them so much, but I just don't see a lot of support from the community in that direction.  AI packs are a different monster really.  A lot of members here are interested in tournaments... and we use AI packs that test our bots in preparation for tournaments.  "Benchmark" AI packs are going to get a lot of support.  Inf AI, Starcore, NarAI, etc etc.  are very helpful in a sense for testing.  "Entertainment" AI packs aren't going to get much support or excitement because usually the player will try it out and then forget about it mostly.  To a degree DSL actually falls in this category.  It is the foundation, but a dated proving ground. (some might argue that it wasn't a very good proving ground initially)

In closure, I am surprised the community is still active for a (almost) 10 year old game.  Given the age of the game, I am happy it has the support that it does have. <3
JD I love you.

Oh and PokAImon has been downloaded 3 times at maximum. I put hours into that.

I'm far too cynical about everything here.

I've always been a Burnout fan so I guess that one wins...

But I had Burnout on the DS and it was the most atrocious game ever. Still to this day the only game I've bought and traded in (apart from Rock Band which didn't work because I have GH instruments. Derp.)

If you want impossible..

Team deathmatch. 32 bots on each team.

Huge arena, like the low lag arena but with fairly low walls.

That would be fun. :P

Team FoRobotArena2tress 2?

Dude you KNOW there can only be 4 bots in any match. But Ian's new RoboZone arena does this to a degree.
