Yeah I really don't understand the idolization of old robots and the belief that Hypno Disc could take on and beat any 220...

hypnodisc is leprosy
modern day 220's are modern day pwn/sage/etc bots

it was remembered for how destructive it was, but its clearly aged and cant really fight most modern day bots

Why yes- nothing wrong with using the Pit at the right time, but having to rely on it to win (Like Cheap as Chips does) is just cheap.

...and alot of flippers rely on oota to win

As for the part on flipping and OOTAing, that actually takes more skill, and is actually exciting to watch and pull off.

lol theyre just about the same formula tho

also on a completely unrelated note its not like tan is foolproof, it has its flaws/counterbalances

Not so much the fact that he likes it (I mean, everyone's entitled to an opinion), and I'd have been alright with it had it just kept the first part, but it's more that second capitalised TAN FOREVAR bit that I quoted that irked me a little.

But TAN is a much better bot that Chaos 2 in terms of engineering anyway.

No. I fail to see how what is essentially a giant pair of tongs on wheels can even compare.

so shoving bots into the pit is cheap but flipping them over/oota isnt ? thats some weird logic there
