Modifications / Re: An RPM-monitoring AI
« on: October 04, 2010, 12:46:42 AM »
This looks very interesting, CB.  I wish I could dabble here, but my fast comp is still in boxes...somewhere.  But for now I was thinking of a few more possible uses of this code:
-Rev limiter (use?)
-Rev reducer (in case of loss of weapon/stability)
-Motor 'stall' checker (if stall, then have bot disengage, spin up and then re-engage enemy)
-Rev 'failure' checker (if 'chronically' not able to get weapon motor up to certain attack-parameter rpm, then change tactic [i.e. to 'Ram'])

Lol I couldn't get my UHW popup to self right....
Hehe. Tuff task; good luck, 123.

..., I need all the lag reduction I can get.
Yea, for sure. In that context, I wondered why you chose this arena over a lower-lag one.  Hope you have a nice comp, SB.

I am in agreement. TX isn't actually leaving, he is on temporary hiatus. Basically, life got in the way. =P
Usually it's the other way around.

Joe is saying that it is too bad, cause it undermines the real 'leaving for legit reasons' people....

Incred..., That's an idea that is worth considering (though it too will probably be used for fallacious departures).  EDIT: Scorp got it right,... and quicker posted)

Well, Nar, that's because you need to learn 'self-control'.  Joe is still too easily inflenced by suggestion.  But I, for instance.... uhhhh *jitters*...... NVM.  Gotta go!

Sorry about your Mom, Hydro; and your Dad, Power.

Pessimism is suicide.  Make sure your optimism is reality-based,.. else your out-of-touch 'drunk driving' will only result in more hell...

Anyway, this game sucks.
You looked it through, Serge?  In the context of Power's post, and your comment, is it because of maliciousness or just sloppy-ness?  Hope not the former...

Sparkey,
Your efforts are good; CB is giving constructive ideas to help these efforts.  If your objective is to make good animations, then the input should be welcome. If it's to only get compliments, then when you don't get them you'll complain.  So check your motivation, please.

I like your animations too, but a bit more work on them would help them be better understood (as CB mentioned). BTW: I try to look through all of your drawings and animations.
