Heh, I have to agree. I didn't figure that out at the time so I wasted about 5 inches of space. it gets bashed in the rear sometimes because of the excess :P. I'm still trying to master spinners though, so I guess it's a step.

Hmmm, new bot. Name: Poisonous Spiderbite Bot Type: Horizontal/verticle spinner hybrid Weight:799.4 kgs  It has an awkward way of driving, so that the body lifts up, parallel to the floor. I'll post a video to show what I mean. It is based off Naryar's snapper loading bot, with the same internals and chassis shape. I tried to make it into a verticle spinner at first but it flipped... literally. The black batts are stacked. Thanks for teaching me to snapper load and stack batteries ScrapDaddy :D.

Cheese grater reminds me of my first DSL bot :D. The problem was that, whenever a blade popped off, it was impossible to fight...
I think that you can still cut down alot of the nose without sacrificing a realistic look or giant chassis. then you could also lower it about 1/3.

ShadowArts: I'm going to have to bring to your attention that what you posted was Hateful, Attention grabbing and stupid. If he made a few more posts like that then yes, you could have posted that. But trying to scare away a new member who has promising bot builder skill is not only stupid, but awful as well.
If it sounded that way, I don't mind that you didn't like it. I wasn't hating, as far as I knew o.o

Oh, that's an idea. The spike strips were something around the idea of a rammer when the snappers ran out of juice, but it never worked out because the plow outreached it. What frontal armor do you have in mind, like caster armor?

Um. Flippo came nice and close to the end of the weight class.... does the flipper work as a Srimech? Stop with the pink batts in the heavyweights. I'm not an expert builder, but I've come to know that just the two black batts will do.
Also, STOP USING THE DOUBLE SIDED ICE PICKS. They cut damage in half. And your robots are big... And why do you have so many weapon systems on the heavyweights, and those N-12 tires aren't necessary, and use tribars instead of extenders, and the pink batts in Flippo won't last long with Zteks, and the double sided ice picks are totally out of reach on the first bot, and all your middle weights and heavy weights are underweight, and most importantly, don't build the components around the chassis and just fill the empty space with little batteries, and... float around the forum and look at other people's stuff.
Otherwise they're good.

Sorry if this looks like a giant bump, but between either starting a new topic and reusing an old one, I'd choose the second. I DO have new bots to show, some of which need improvements, and others, I just think kinda' look cool. So to start: I updated Spiderbite 2 with the snapper II's that you guys recommended. I then got to add a second black batt. Name: SpiderBite 3 Bot Type: Horizontal Spinner Weight: 795.7 kgs (Heavy Weight) Armor: DSA  I had a small building competition with another a person on Hamachi named "Haha". (His servers are GREAT for reduced lag) This is the product. Didn't fill weight class originally, unfortunately. I'm thinking of replacing the snappers with DDT's. Name: Flash! Bot Type: Hammer Weight:394.6 kgs (Middle Weight) Armor: DSA  And another competition... Very efficient online. name: SandStorm Bot Type: Horizontal spinner weight: 246.7 kgs (Light Weight) Armor: DSA  And another... Battery power is horrid, and it lost. name: TwistedPhysics Bot Type: Horizontal Spinner Weight:122 kgs (Ant Weight) Armor: Plastic  This wasn't for a competition. It just stinks... Oh? I didn't know that either. Still, wouldn't it be more efficient when they're lined up? Also, weight could be gained - and power saved - if the number of Zteks was cut in half and instead, the weapons on each tribar were doubled. How many black batts are in it?
