I was at a party yesterday and someone brought airsoft guns. Lots of fun those things!

Please tell me you wore eye protection and went somewhere that isn't your backyard to use them...
Kinda guessed this kind of comment would come. We didn't have any of that and were in a yard, but it was far outside of town.

We just had some wooden boards set up, tilted over a bit to prevent rounds from coming straight back to us, and nailed some targets to it. We knew what we were doing to a decent extend. Don't worry.

I CO a regional airsoft team and I'm an active member in the MA Airsoft community. I wouldn't be doing my job if I didn't do my best to educate the public on the issue.

1.  Airsoft guns are not toys and should be treated like real firearms at   all times. This includes wearing the proper safety equipment when in   use. The bare minimum of this safety equipment is proper eye protection. If, by some bad stroke of physics, one of those BBs came back and hit one of you in the eye, you could have been blinded or even more seriously injured. That is horrible for the person who was injured, but could be catastrophic to the sport as well. If news gets around that someone was injured by the misuse of an airsoft gun again, it is possible that legislation could be passed limiting or banning the sale or purchase of airsoft guns.

2. Use of airsoft guns in public places could be very dangerous as well. An airsoft gun is almost always a very accurate replica of a real steel firearm, and can be mistaken as such to the untrained eye. Those who are not familiar with the sport can often become alarmed at the sight of an airsoft replica. This could be a neighbor or just a passerby. I've heard stories of police being called on kids with airsoft guns. Of course it seems ridiculous to assume that there are 14 year old kids running around with M4s, but police officers will not take that chance when their life could be at risk. Again, this can be very detrimental to the sport in the long run.

For these reasons, all airsoft guns in Canada must be bright green or clear. In many locations, airsoft is banned outright.

If you want to get into the sport, look into airsoft facilities in your area. Airsoft is, at the entry level, much cheaper than paintball and for some people even more enjoyable. In most locations it is a community based event as well.
I understand that pretty well. Airsoft is actually banned on my country, but not over the border in Belgium, where the guy normally keeps them. Though he did forget to bring protection.

I'm not too sure about getting into the sport myself, though it does seem like good fun.

Videos are recorded but I have to close the computer.

Sorry for the delay.

What exactly does that mean?
Probably turning it off. Not that hard to decipher.

Not that I can think of, given the situation. Think you'd be best of using that warranty.

I dunno. Stuff can always just die, even if it worked perfectly fine before. Not sure about what to do here. Still got warranty? Send it back. If not.. Well, better find out what is broken in there. And if you're in the need of getting a new PC in the end... Be sure to get the HDD out of the old one.

So you press the power button and it just doesn't do anything. Just the small 1 second fan spin like in the vid.
I'm going to guess this is either the motherboard being dead or the power supply... Not sure about the second, but the first is very likely possible.

You can start the thread once you've got the splash or brackets done, I think.
By the way NFX, you think you'll be up for a bit of a battle in the Middleweight division?    :approve:
Can ask the same to you. I'm here to win it all, with a burning passion.
Sure thing- even if your robot would probably be powered by little windmills mounted on the top, I'll be happy to challenge you as well
Ehhh.. Windmills are in the rear with this one.

Sure, why not? =) Strange how with all our back-and-forth, we've never actually fought each other once.
Excellent! Hopefully this time, we'll actually get to fight   :gawe:
Not if I can help it~
