So you'll gladly fight my robot 3 times, each time being a foregone conclusion (powerful flipper vs HS with no good srimech or wedge), but as soon as I bring up the idea of not fighting something that isn't totally outclassed you refuse it immediately. C'mon man.
Yes, that is how tournaments work. You enter one robot and don't get to change it out based on what other people entered.

Update: Motorama is really cool!
In the first round, Angore beat Bagel Beast because their spinner wasn't working. Then, it lost to Rambo, which was a faster and wedgier wedge than Angore. Then, it beat Badnik's Spinjitsu. Finally, it lost to Wedge of Allegiance, which was also faster and wedgier than Angore.
Overall, I'm pretty thrilled I managed to win anything. Would do again!

Sorry, I would have said hi, but I don't know who anyone is. Anyway, videos: First match was against Bagel Beast: Now, I was under the impression that they had started the match with their spinner not working. Watching the video, however, they did actually spin up at the start of the match, so I guess Angore must have broken it during the fight. Cool! This was my first time ever driving Angore in the arena, so you can tell I'm a bit shaky. I get a bit better when I realize I'm winning. Second match was against Rambo: I remembered that Rambo totally dominated in this fight, but watching it back, it looks like Angore was actually pretty competitive. Judges gave the win to Rambo, which was deserved - he was a bit slammier than Angore. Plus, Rambo had to fight some really scary bot next, so it wasn't the worst thing that I lost here. Third match was against Spinjitsu: I managed to break one of the important wires and totally kill his robot. I also did a cheeky victory spin. Fourth match was against Wedge of Allegiance: My three matches of driving practice was nothing compared to this guy. He was on me the whole time and I couldn't do anything about it. Not a bad way to go out though, considering Angore is still in perfect working order, save for a couple scratches thanks to Badnik.

So ah, officially this tournament (or the Retooled side) is overdue by 46 days without having applied for extra time, and assuming it would have got a 6 month extension if it had, we're across the halfway point (136/270 days). The deadline would be July 2nd 2017, if this wasn't.. you know... above the rules.
I asked the tournament mod; he said it was ok to go over. Right, I guess I should update you guys on what's going on. I just got back from Motorama! It was awesome! See my "Thrackerzod is bad at Real Life" thread for details. That, of course, means I need to catch up with assignments and stuff, so I'll be doing that in the near future. I also want to get all the ironyforge bots approved and make the SBV. Sometime before the end of the month, I also need to make my bot and splash for BotM. If I get all that done (life caught up, SBV opened, BotM splashed) and there's still no progress with Retooled, I'll start running it. I'll do something like alternate Retooled and ironyforge episodes.
