Custom Components Showcase / Re: Pay Tribute With Replicas
« on: November 06, 2013, 10:52:37 AM »
I sort of want Resetti to make a 3rd Wars mod now, as it would probably be great. People tried in the past, but creativity was limited because custom components weren't allowed. I'd like to see Milly-Ann-Bug next, as it had those wheel covers and the unique domes.

362
Uh... that isn't my replica. It's HereticBlue's, mine doesn't look anything like that.

363
Yeah, I can't get it to look right. Maybe you can ask HereticBlue for his Panzer replica though?

Your life sounds really fun I'm jel

Maybe separate the pieces of the body, so for example the scoop of X-Terminator can come off? Might be laggy, but adds realism. Also, we badly need more wheels. I would like to see a proper Go-Kart tyre, like the ones on Dominator 2 or TriMangle. Technos are too wide.

General Support / Re: weight of this refrigerator?
« on: November 02, 2013, 05:13:39 AM »
The odd thing about RA2 is that no matter how heavy your robot is, the lightest of flippers can flip it. Seriously, the standard Scout from DSL 2.1 can easily get under and flip Hammer of Judgment across the arena, even though it weighs several thousand kilos. The same thing could be with the fridge. It might be around 2000kg, but due to the weird physics even a lightweight can get underneath and flip it.

Well, I think you can make it turn if you don't use wheels for locomotion. A replica of Wheelosaurus on the BotExchange uses two hollow discs and it drives fine.

Man, Iceland is boss.

There are MANY lines of dialogue spoken by the announcer that did not make it into the final game. Things that weren't implemented (Battlebots style start with declaring whether or not you're ready), additional commentary (look at the sparks fly, that bot is getting beaten unrecognizable) and things that would've had accompanying dialogue but didn't in the end (you made it to round x of the competition).

Seems a tad too dark, but spot on nonetheless.

Nice execution, but I really can't see it working unless the flipping attachment is longer or the motor is really fast.
