To combat some recurring spammers, GTM has disabled the ability to use proxies during the registration process. You may, however, re-enable your proxy once you have gone through the registration process (your real IP will still be logged by the forum software but it will get erased over time). I'm really sorry for any inconvenience this may be to you.

If you are not consciously using a proxy, it is possible that your internet browser is doing it automatically. First and foremost, I would try using another internet browser. If that doesn't work, you can try disabling the proxy manually...
In Internet Explorer, you have to uncheck the "Use a proxy server for your LAN" check box (Tools>Internet Options>Connections>LAN settings).
In Mozilla Firefox, you have to select the "No proxy" radio button (Firefox Menu>Options>Options>Advanced>Network>Settings).
In Google Chrome, you have to uncheck the "Use a proxy server for your LAN" check box (Chrome Menu>Settings>Change proxy settings...>Connections>LAN settings).
You can find documentation for other browsers by entering your browser name followed by "enable proxy" into a Google search (obviously, you would just disable it instead of enabling it).

Another possible reason that you are getting the proxy message is that your router has been setup to automatically reroute all of your internet browsing through a proxy. If this is the case and you have access to your router, you can do a Google search similar to before but this time with the name of your router's software. If that doesn't work or you don't have access to your router than you can create an account somewhere else (like a local library).

Once again, I am really sorry for the inconvenience and I hope that you can figure it out.

Edit: This information has been added to the No Proxies During Registration page.

According to his profile, Click hasn't been around since mid-2013. Its tradition to see a post by him on April Fools though so he may be back around that time.

If that is all, everything should be better now. You wouldn't believe how many menus I had to go through and change the settings for in order to add new post-based membergroups (other membergroups are far less messy).

Both of your topics were roughly the same so I merged them. I also moved it to the appropriate section for you.

People still play online but usually they invite each other or post an open invitation to this board (Online Battles). Most of the users around here use either GameRanger or Hamachi.

I am still working on the audio. Would anyone happen to know where the audio code is for the game? I am replacing the match_countdown.wav's "with 3 2 1 activate".
The EXE handles the calls to match_countdown.wav and match_countdown_high.wav. If you want to replace them with the "3 2 1 activate" message than you'll need to silence the existing sound files and add some code to the Arena/__init__.py to sound the new message at the start of each battle.

I think I found the issue. Let me know if it still doesn't work.

Assuming that your username is kabuki, you should be able to login now.

Whilst I contemplate blasting Junk Yard and the rep system into the void, I thought I should point out that the Rep System only allowed me to delete by page (not by post) so we lost half a page of real repping.

Edit: Nvm, it fixed itself (the paging breaks). I'll finish cleaning up the rest of the reps now.

Cool beans. If you are having performance issues on an i7 than you should seriously look into improving the efficiency of your code so that someone on a slower machine doesn't suffer as much.

They got changed to match RA2's weight classes as suggested here.

Darn, MassimoV beat me to the punch...

Actually, it would take 176 posts just to be listed as a LW if we followed the exact scheme that RA2 uses. Anyways, I changed it and added the two missing member groups.

Edit: I also added the weightless member group for members over 5000 (since they are no longer UHW).

According to the logs, he isn't banned. I put a stop to his second account but none of the triggers should be impacting his ability to use this one. He did however receive a 100% warning but that has long since passed...

As for your Computer Gaming class, I'd personally try to get them into some of the basics of modding. I doubt that playing the game and showing the class the absolute basics would be enough material for more than a couple classes. Now I understand if you don't want to get into the more complicated aspects of modding but topics like modifying Component.txt files, adding attachment points, and creating AI are all simple enough for someone to pick up on relatively quickly.

As for your robotics club, GTM is always looking for new members. We have a lot to offer especially for people that are into robotics.

Online Battles / Re: Has this been attempted/thought of before?

I don't think it would work very well because RA2 requires the host to perform specific actions in order to start the game and Gabriel Interactive never released a binary for servers to run the game.

As a quick suggestion, could we change the Memberinfo template so that avatar can be inputted with an url instead of automatically being set to Serge's site, since he has removed the gtm avatar functionality?
I wrote my own script for retrieving the avatar so everything should be working now.

Online Battles / Re: Need help with starting up gameranger for RA2

When you download the most recent copy of GameRanger from here, it gives a step-by-step tutorial of how to install and run it. You can skip step 4, though (at least, for now). I'd write up another step-by-step but there's pretty much covers everything except adding RA2 to the list. I'm not in a very good position to explain that ATM so I'll let somebody else explain that when you get to it.

As far as Flash goes, have you tried updating it?
1. Go into Control Panel.
2. Enter Flash Player into the search box and click the top result.
3. Click the Advanced tab.
4. Click the Check Now button (before this, you may want to consider clicking the Change Update Settings button and enable "Allow Adobe to install updates (recommended)").
5. This should lead you to a webpage about the current version of Flash and give you the option of updating (if applicable). Mine is up-to-date so I'm not sure exactly how it would handle an out-of-date computer.

You should have your confirmation email now. The spam protection software put a hold on your suspicious accounts but I approved your account so you shouldn't run into any more issues.

What do you mean? The registration page found here seems to be working... Does it give you an error message?
