yo can badger and lra2 settle their differences with a crayon eating contest?

No. I have no wish to take part in your pastime.

Show me a real robot that uses 3 pistons.
(Image removed from quote.)
HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA

also TIL that, by lra2's logic, there have been bots with 30 ninja stars on the front or that use their drive to spin like SnS.
"30 ninja stars on the front"

what the **** are you smoking

Fact is, just because robots have done it, doesn't mean it's a good idea, or a regular idea. And a single robot from Series 4 completely destroys my argument, does it?

Nope.

Paladin is still intentionally OP, the pistons being easily hit from the top is laughable and un-IRL, and 3 pistons are still unrealistic for modern robots. A exception is not the norm.

Also, half the robots are un-IRL here, but I just haven't bothered to go through the full list, because frankly this tournament is a joke that doesn't deserve that amount of time.

Just stop arguing about Paladin, jesus christ

If anything, I'm more surprised Aether hasn't even been meticulously picked apart considering the fact that its as tryhard OP as possible. At least Paladin has IRL qualities, if a bit on the OP side.

I called you both bastards, page 1. Why dwell on something that was obviously designed to be un-IRL and acknowledged as such?
Ava, if it makes you feel better, i fo not allow paladin setups on my next tourney.

You ban the use of wedgelets that lead up to flipping skirts. That's not the issue. Paladin probably could have just used the skirts on it's own, and it could have won just as easily. And if it didn't, Aether Paradise would have. Or Hotrod.

Also, you say that you ban Paladin setups, but you enter the HW Wings robot, which uses 5 bursts.

Looking forward to paladin getting rekt so people can see that it's a mediocre bot, made to counter HS and shell/ring spinners, used effectively in LvD.

just going to leave this here

they're equally BS. shrederator shells are OP and CB2 for a reason, Paladin isn't IRL and is OP.
funny how its been accepted to 3 IRL tournaments thus far if it's not IRL. Really makes ya think.

Show me a real robot that uses 3 pistons. Plus, even if it was IRL (which i heavily disagree with), it's still frowned upon to send robots intentionally designed to be as powerful as possible, and Paladin Evo actually is stronger than Paladin.

You claim Raus is a DSL-S robot, but you effectively do the same thing: Overly Powerful Weapon, Metal Hinge wedges. If anything, the exposed pistons on the top make Paladin and Paladin Evo even less realistic than Raus!

The difference between the two is the quality of looks, but there are robots out there that look good and are fair to fight.

man if I just tell badger I would be a better host than TGM and then complain about 3 bursts I think we just made this thread the epitome example of 2017 GTM

I vote DSL HW IRL (with AS's patch). It's not a sequel to Light Vs Dark if it isn't.
I will not be hosting an IRL tournament.  Mainly because I do not want to have to judge if things are IRL or not.  Hence the "[GONE WRONG]".
Then pull a Redditbots and say its FIRE ruleset: **** It, Real Enough. Then you can just shrug and let it in.

45 degree angles on the extenders, attach plates to create a box around the motor.

Look, this has gone on far enough. Get the **** out of my challenge thread and take your sh**posty flame wars to the PMs or to offtopic. That's the last I'll say on the matter.

It's badger's thread, actually.  :dumb)

And you don't have authority or anything to do this.

But point taken, let's move on.

That's really cool. Nice use of OBJRA2 too. The only thing I'm not sure on is the Supernova disc: a bit too big imo.

I'll ignore the flame bait.

Nobody's sh** the bed about Hotrod having 3 bursts either.

I could hardly see them. Also: Why.

Because it was allowed, and I could make a cool as sh** flipper.

Cool: Absolutely. But was the 3 bursts necessary? Ah well, your robot looks good, unlike other robots that use 3 bursts to gain power while detracting from the looks (Aether Paradise)

3 bursts is pretty necessary when it's the norm for every other flipper. Besides, I'm already at a disadvantage from the others due to the poor ground clearance, exposed wheels, and not being able to self right. My robot isn't overpowered but can still win fights. I don't see a problem.

3 bursts should not be the norm at all. Your robot breaks even on sh**tyness (Good looks and weaknesses = Good, 3 Burst flippers for unnecessary power = Bad), and is a exception out of a distinct type of robot that is innately sh**ty.

right so apparently one person mentioning the word "petition" is enough for avalanche to think half the forum is conspiring against tgm

get the **** off your moral high ground, obi wan

Not sure how you extrapolated the idea that I think the whole forum is against TGM. Also get off the moral high ground yourself you were the one who said about that petition which further derailed the thread. Don't act like you're any better.

nice job exaggerating my exaggeration even further

also im not the one who's derailed several threads to escalate your vendetta against badger as opposed to my kind of deadpan joke-with-a-point that too many people responded to

"Don't act like you're any better."

Anyways, I feel I may as well settle this the old-fashioned way: DSL IRL HW Challenge. I'll handle Gulden in due time: bigger fish to fry.

EDIT:

ok so my hot take:

I need to stop snarking and sh**talking on people, except in the discord, but everyone knows this idea won't last long.

This idea sure did not last long.
