Discussion / Re: Realistic rules for DSL« on: August 15, 2010, 09:37:43 PM »
Undeadbeat is realistic just because of the possibility of it happening in IRL. And its a cool idea. However, I wouldn't dare BFE a bot, because I will always have it hanging over me that this bot is good in part because of cheating. Especially if I entered it in a tournament and it won.

Custom Components Showcase / Re: Pay Tribute With Replicas« on: August 15, 2010, 09:32:31 PM »
That bot is from Team Velocity, right?
I would try to get at least medium or maybe large beater bars one way or another. 2986

Find in Clickbeetle's Showcase when he posted Heaven's Sawmill. Look at its back stabilizers. Thats how you make a good rear stabilizer.

Try to minimize the open space inside the chassis. Always try to build as close to the weight limit as you can get (for example 797 would be good, but 783 like this is kinda pushing it. Better than 500 kgs but still...)

DSL TC Showcases / Re: AoR Design & Tech« on: August 15, 2010, 05:00:08 PM »
Looks like it.
So lets see... We all thought ItI would do bad, and it did good, and we all thought CGS would do alright, and it did poorly. Quick AoR enter another newbie bot into the next BBEANS! 2991

Modifications / Re: New Battlebots AI Pack« on: August 15, 2010, 04:46:46 PM »
Nope because C87 decided that mine was a much better replica and went ahead and built a Whirligig (I didn't know he had built a Jo Mama, I figured nobody had ever heard of it). And consequentially, S.T.C. built a Herr Gepounden better than mine, which I couldn't make combat-effective because it wasn't stable, so I looked on the list on Robotmarketplace.com and found Jo Mama, and built it, and then posted it, and then C87 decided decided that mine was a much better replica and...

I agree. Use a pattern kind of like T-Road, with some spikes tilted up and some down. Switch to shinies, and also remove that random extender (unless it has an unforseen purpose). If you need extra extenders for weapons, move the weapon extender to be the first one coming off of the baseplate connector to get another extender. I would also recommend maces for better HS beating.

Tis ok Badnik. You'll be getting it for RW2 anyways. XD
And I just pick an easy rep from a list of all the bots. Minimal skinning, simple chassis, etc. 2996

Discussion / Re: Stacking outside the chassis« on: August 15, 2010, 07:03:57 AM »
If we were to allow DSL exostacking, it should only be motors. No batteries, control boards, or other things that are not normally outside the chassis
