I had a girlfriend once. Lasted a few weeks then the bitch betrayed me by getting the hard lads after me. All I can say is thank **** the blue bus took me out of town. (I live just outside of Belfast in a place called Newtownabbey) Bus took me to Carrick then took train back home. Currently got a good female friend of mine I talk to on Skype every month who used to live near me but had to move to Sweden cause her dad got a major IT job. But times change. Considering the way my life is at the moment with trying get an A in my IT course, getting bullied by my siblings and trying to squeeze every other moment playing through games I don't want a girlfriend. I mean come on! Why is it all the nice quiet girls end up moving away to other countries while all the girls left here are either ditzy or smoke and drink every night. Its a ****ing pain!

would it be a good idea if we just made it so that you can only use irl bots? that way DSL would be balanced and the fights would be much more entertaining seeing all the bits and bobs on the robot fly into the stratosphere, or was this about building styles in which case, banning popups and flails would work alot better because craaig told me popups can one shot bots and thats seems pretty freaking op to me and flails... im not sure on flais but they seem pretty powerful as well since they move faster than if they were on static extenders so they have more momentum and would hit harder.
IRL bots shouldn't really be made to be competitive. Generally the main focus of IRL building is to make your bot look cool and realistic. IRL tournaments are more for fun rather than seriously competitive. I think a good idea would be to put weight restrictions on certain bot types, like popups can only be 225 for LW, 350 for MW, 700 for HW, etc. Only problem with that is people will forget what weight restrictions for certain types are and there would probably be quite a bit of dispute between what the handicaps should be.

I know I've been around for quite a while now, but I'm still thinking the DSL-S metagame is pretty freaking broken. This has gotten noticeably worse with how much we can break the game. Sheesh, maybe these problem could be avoided if there are specific restrictions in a ruleset that can make bots look like they would participate in BBEANS2. I don't know.

Yeah, ReForged will for sure, I'm pretty pumped to try it out, I was talking about DSS's idea.
Ah, okay. I feel like the problem with that is people will dump their really crappy bots on us and that'll set a bad example for newcomers. On the other hand, newbies will have an opportunity to contribute and some of the better builders will be able to put out really interesting and creative designs that might not be effective in other situations. It could go really poorly or turn out to be very interesting.

Most of the entries aren't that bad. Even mine isn't too bad. Overall I think it'll be a decently balanced pack for everyone. Edit: 1 thought - is there an audience for your idea? If you're not sure that people are going to play it, it's not worth anybody's time being spent on it.
It's the only real AI pack for this as far as I know aside from the one that's already there which is pretty much mostly IRL style. I'm sure it'll get a good amount of downloads for anyone who builds on IF actively.

This has nothing to do with me being a mod. It's either not funny or I just dont get the joke of recent stuff. And to be honest things were easier when I wasn't a mod. I could care less about the things I did and posted back then. And it was easier tobtalk to you guys. Since then you seem to only see the moderator instead of the person behind the username. And the current way GTM is really sucks for me as it doesn't feel like a second home anymore. To me it feels like cops versus robbers - mods versus certain members. I don't know if thats funny for anyone. And maybe its the case that I am a mod now that makes me think that all the stuff that is going on is not funny. Maybe it's cause i grew up.
GTM used to be a cool place. I used to be a cool guy. Maybe things change. Maybe it depend on the point of view.
I really wish that things go back to normal cause I actually like this place. And actually I like you guys.

Edit: To be honest, I don't think any of the normies have any problem with the staff... Except for Naryar. Most of us aren't fond of Naryar.
Naryar is off and on. First he was helpful, then he was a dick, and now he's fine. I don't really have a problem with him right now.
