"but redace what about that irl tournament you wanted to do"
Well, I discussed this in the GTM Discord chat, and we agreed that we were sick of IRL tournaments at the moment since there is a large amount going on at the moment, and that pretty much everyone kinda stole my idea, so I decided to put it on hold at the moment and wait for a bit. I also haven't done very many Ironforge tournaments and there isn't much of those going on at the moment.
GENERAL RULES: - Ironforge Standard Antweights - 16 Entrants - One entrant per person, but in the event that signups are going slow, I will allow people to send a second bot. - I'm willing to AI if you are not able to, but don't complain what I AI'd your bot or you will disqualified automatically (It will not change once the SBV thread is up.) - You cannot enter unless your bot is received and accepted. - I will not be entering
BUILDING RULES: - Antweight bots only (70.0 KG or less) - Standard building rules apply - You cannot use BFE, AAM, Hax, txt file editing, etc. - The Rule of 7 Break is allowed. No other Component Freedom uses allowed - No cheatbot2 or custom parts allowed. - Smart Zones will not count toward weight, but you cannot use them to act as a ballast - You can use up to four ballasts without it affecting your weight - Bots must have powered two wheels minimum. - Crawlers and Multibots are banned. - Bots will not be AI'd with Meltybrain tactics. - Interchangeable weapons and forms along with Multibots/Drones are banned. - I recccomend bots that are the best of your ability, and while Jokebots, replicas, IRL style bots, etc. are allowed, but bear in mind that you will be at a severe disadvantage. - You can make an update once and only once (The only exception if it's a skin change or anything very minor). - If an updated bot is illegal, then I will use the original bot you sent me.
MATCH RULES: - 2 minute length battles - 1 vs. 1 Battle Format - Best of 3 - The Arena will be the ELBITE Tournament Arena (Possibly Reskinned) - If a bot does a Havok Explosion which costs the battle for it's opponent, that said bot will get a free restart, if this happens again, that bot will be disqualified. - Double Elimination Bracket - Judging will determined by the damage points at the end of the match
tl;dr simple aw ironforge standard tournament
This is now a signups thread and the rules quoted above cannot change. You've got four months, have fun!

1. It, uh, sure is a gun. 2. Not bad. Don't care much for how the internal shot and the weight are just plopped on there. 3. Splash and bot are both nice, but I'm just not finding it particularly inspiring. 4. "Where's all the Nazi stuff?" - Lewis Brindley, 2017. 5. Obviously the best splash here, gets all of my votes. 6. Also nice. I like it more than Mandelboi, even though this one is an extenderbot. I would predict this one to win. 7. Interesting design but hurt by low-res picture. Text is a bit wonky too.

Yes, especially when they're across multiple days.

Not bad. Though for some of Robot's like Bruiser, the chassis is too large. You could make the chassis smaller to save weight so you can use it for more weapons or anything else that might take your fancy like replacing the single mace with a chain of spikes. Just remember to build your chassis around your parts, not the parts for the chassis if you need an idea. For Devorcatrz, don't use Standard axe heads for the teeth! There are more powerful weapons components in the game that can deal more damage than the axes head like Typhoon teeth for example, if you struggling to put them on, try shave off some weight like replacing the heavier bicycle wheels for more smaller wheels with better grip like shiny hubs or something. Also for your Cruiser, avoid using the PC265 batteries, you get enough power for your cruiser using some of the long black batteries or a couple of ant batteries and these will save you some weight of your Robots, you should have enough power to last a three minute match in most cases.
Overall, not a bad start into DSL IRL. As you learn, you builds will get better over time so don't worry about it. Also what Armour do you use anyway?
Thank you for the advice! I tend to use the Steel armour across my robots apart from Crumplezone which I picked aluminium for.
From a lot of sources like the defunct wiki and Senior members like Naryar, Armours types like Titanium and plastic 5-10 (don't use 3mm in a serious bot but 1mm can be handy for lighter bots I think) are recommended, because both types are good for bot protection and good on bot weight management as well. Armours like Steel and Aluminium are particularly useless due to the later being somewhat weak and the former being a waste of weight, try avoiding them if you can. At least you didn't say DSA (Double-Strength Aluminium). When DSA is required for Stock building due to DSA being toughest out of all the Stock armours, DSA is incredibly weak when compared to the strengths and toughness of other DSL armours. Hope this help anyway.
I think the armours got rebalanced for 2.2, but I don't play DSL enough to know which ones are good and which aren't.

Hello. You are going to play a game.
(Image removed from quote.)
BORING RULES -Retooled MW, standard building style. -No cheatbot parts, custom parts, etc. This includes recoloured ones. -Multibots are allowed, if you want to do a MW multibot for some reason. -SnS are not allowed. -Crawlers are not allowed. -BOTS MUST SHOW CONTROLLED MOVEMENT. -No BFE, AAM, EXP, or whatever other crazy acronym you guys use. -Rule of 7 break is allowed, other SergePatcher features are not. -Arena will be the Keznorg IGC. -Matches will be 3 minutes each. -If you don't AI your robot yourself, it gets Omni.py. -Havok rule: Matches with major havoks will be rerecorded and not shown. -I reserve the right to disqualify any bot. Life is simply unfair. -You may send updates until the signups period ends.
THE GIMMICK(this one's a doozy). -Every player will start with 2 points. -Before each round, all players with at least one point will be randomly paired off to fight. One bye will be given if needed. -Once the matchups list is posted, players have 24 hours to PM me their vote. -If no vote is sent, it will default to "ally". -Votes may only be sent via PM or via Direct Message on Discord. -This means that it is allowed, and encouraged, to say that you're going to vote one way, then actually vote the other way. -The allowed votes are "ally" or "betray". -If both players who are going to fight vote "ally", they both gain 1 point. -If both players vote "betray", I will run the fight between their robots. The loser loses 1 point. -If one player votes "ally" and the other votes "betray", the player who voted "ally" loses 1 point. -In the case of a bye, the player will not gain or lose any points. -Teaming up/working together is allowed and encouraged. -Rounds will continue until all players but one have zero points. The player who still has at least one point is the winner. -At any time, I can announce that the game ends in five rounds. -Once this has been announced, I cannot revoke it. -The player with the most points after the final round is the winner. -In the event of a tie, there will be one extra round involving only those involved in the tie. -For example, if Dio, Eric, and Q all have ten points after the final round: Every player will fight every other remaining player. Dio will send a vote for his fight with Eric and a vote for his fight with Q. These votes do not need to be the same. Eric will send a vote for Dio and a vote for Q. Q will send a vote for Dio and a vote for Eric. -After this final round has been run, the player with the most points is the winner. If there is still a tie, all players involved in the tie win.
SIGNUPS Signups will end April 20th.
This is now a signups thread and the rules quoted above cannot change. Have fun, you've... er, I've got four months.

Ok how many of you guys have played Mafia before? I just got this idea thanks to Thrackerzod's prisoner-dilemma tournament and i like it so i'm going to roll with it.
-Stock MW -Maximum of 24 entrants, minimum of 16. Once I receive 16 robots the tournament will close 24 hours later. -BFE, AAM, RA2CF, Hax Mode, etc are all banned. Your robot must be built completely in the bot lab with no external programs (movepixel is ok, if you actually still use that) -Cheatbot2 parts are banned. -No AI wizardry. Looking at you, Apanx. -Robots must show controlled movement. -Melty-brain AI is not allowed. -Matches last for one minute and will take place in the Containment Cube. -Game-altering havoks will not be shown. Excessively havoky robots will be rejected. -Re-entries from Crapcan Derby 2 will not be accepted. -Multibots are allowed and must add up to 398.9 kg or less. -No updates will be allowed. Once you send your robot, that's it.
Now here's the fun part of this tournament. It doesn't use a regular format, instead everyone that sends me a robot will be given a certain role, based on a mafia role. The game starts in "night phase", and posting in the thread is forbidden. Instead, if you have a role that allows for a night action, you can PM me a target and your night action will take place. After 24 hours, the phase shifts to "day phase" which lasts 48 hours. You are given the results of the previous night's actions including any dead players. Everyone can post in the thread to discuss the previous night's actions and decide who to lynch (kill) per day. Everyone gets one vote as to who to kill, and you can change that vote however many times you want to until the phase ends. Then another night phase begins, and so on until one faction (town, mafia, or a third party) is the only one left standing. These roles will be outlined below.
Where does RA2 come into this? Every time a killing action is made, whether it be a night kill or a lynch, the kill will be decided in an RA2 battle. You have one minute to kill your opponent, if neither robot is KOed, no kill happens. If the victim KOs his killer, then the killer dies.If the killer KOs the victim, the victim dies. If one robot is immobilized, they do not die but instead are "incapacitated" and cannot post the following day phase. How a lynch works is that the final person to vote will put their robot in against the robot being lynched.
Roles:
The town consists of most of the game's players. Their goal is to eliminate any mafia or killers that lurk within their town.
Doctor: The doctor can choose one person per night. That person is immune to all night kills.
Cop: The cop can choose one person per night. The cop learns that person's role at the end of the night.
Vigilante: The vigilante can choose one person each night and attempt to kill them. However, his gun only has three shots, and if you kill another townsperson, you kill yourself the next night.
Lookout: The lookout chooses one person each night, and learns who else visits that person overnight.
Townie: These players have no special ability, but they can still vote in the lynch every day.
The mafia know who each other are at the start of the game, but they are fewer than the townspeople. They can talk amongst themselves at night via PM or an alternate chat group. They need to work together and eliminate the town, making them the only group left. The mafia must vote on who the mafioso kills each night by sending me a PM with their vote.
Godfather: The godfather is the leader of the mafia and the most powerful. He cannot be detected by the cop, coming up as a townsperson. He is also immune to any other night kills.
Mafioso: The mafioso does the mafia's dirty work, performing every kill. If he dies, then the goon becomes a mafioso. If the second mafioso dies, then it's the hooker's turn, with the godfather killing if all other mafia are dead.
Hooker: The hooker can choose one player each night and "seduce" them, making them unable to perform their night action. If the hooker seduces the serial killer, the serial killer will kill her instead of his usual target.
Goon: The goon votes on who to kill with the rest of the mafia. If the mafioso dies, the goon becomes the new mafioso.
Third-party roles are loners, they have no one else to help them win. They usually have special criteria to win, which will be outlined below:
Serial Killer: The serial killer can choose one person each night and kill them. He's also immune to any other night killing roles. He also does not die if he loses an RA2 battle. The serial killer wins if he's the last person standing.
Jester: The jester is insane, and wants to be lynched in front of the town. If he succeeds, he wins the game, but the game will continue, and he will win alongside whatever faction wins the game. If he is lynched, he can choose one person to kill from beyond the grave, and kill them automatically without an RA2 battle.
Survivor: The survivor simply wants to get through this game in one piece. He can visit one person each night, and he uses this person as a human shield. Any roles that are sent to this person will go to the person shielding him. However, he can still be seduced by the hooker. He wins if he is alive when any other faction wins.

[splashcomingsoon.png] Main Rules: DSL 2.2 - IRL All Weightclasses are allowed apart from UHW and GHW. Weight Limits for each class:
Antweights: 125KGs Beetleweighst: 175KGs Lightweights: 249KGs Middleweights: 399KGs Cruiserweights: 600KGs Heavyweights: 800KGs SuperHeavyweights: 1,200KGs 1 entry per person per weightclass, for a total of 7 entries. --You do not have to enter every weightclass, but I highly recommend that you do. There are no entry limits in this tournament. The signups will have a deadline in place when each weightclass has over 16 entries available. Although I can AI your robots, I am not reliable at doing so. I highly suggest you do so yourself. I can reject a robot for any reason, whether it be tryhard robots or blatant re-entries with no change whatsoever. If any of your robots get rejected, you do not get a reserved spot. You are able to enter as many times as required until your robot gets accepted. Any of your robots can be updated once and once only when they are first accepted. This can include either a change to the base robot or a new robot entirely. The update is removed once I get a robot that is acceptable.
Building Rules: Your robots can have any kind of locomotion, including weaponed wheels. They must show controlled movement. --Wheels and treads do not get any extra weight. --Wheels that act as weaponry (such as Ginsu) are ineligible for a weight bonus. --Shufflers have an extra 50% of weight to use. The bonus has to be used on the locomotion and Shufflers cannot have weapons on its wheels as it would fall under the weaponed wheels category. --Pure Walkers have a 100% weight bonus. They have to use proper legs and the weight bonus has to be used on the walking mechanism at minimum. Generally, all robot types are allowed. --Thwackers and SnS'es are allowed, but can only have a small range of attack to use. --Meltybrain Spinners cannot have any moving weaponry whatsoever. The robot must also have LED's to signify a Melty robot. Any robots using Defensive Offense will be rejected. --It is up to me to judge if your robot offends this rule. Chisels are fine, but sledgehammer defense isn't, for example. --The ruling is more lenient on rammers, but obvious weapon spam is banned. Burst Motor spam will cause your robot to be rejected. --This is to avoid the BS circulating around robots like Badger's Paladin and my own Aether Paradise. This time around, clusterbots and distraction robots can be built as the nature of the tournament allows it. --Clusterbots have to total up to the weight limits of their weightclasses. --If 60% of the weight of the robot goes out, the entire robot is eliminated. Drones return to the scene this time around. --The robot has to weigh a maximum of 150KGs and require an exposed chassis to avoid what happened with robots last time. The drones can use BFE, but the chassis cannot be any lower than 0.1 in the notepad++ file. --Exclusively for this tournament, the hover engine weighs only 0.1KGS and is now completely invisible. However, you have to make faux-rotors for the drones, with 3 being the absolute minimum. This means your drones will have to weigh 189.9KGs maximum before you send them to me. --Drones are not allowed in weightclasses below CW, however. Any attempt to enter drones below CW will get rejected automatically. Modular units are allowed. Only 3 options are allowed for a single robot and 2 per half of a clusterbot. --You have to give me a list of what attachment goes to what robot when the SBV hits the screen. You have a week to do this, and if you do not answer for all robots, then I will choose for you. DSC IRL packs are allowed and are highly encouraged for this pack, along with skinned components. Cheatbot2 components allowed are the MOE Motor, Flatmotor, Nightmare E-Tek, Hworf Blade and Overkill Servo Motor. I am allowing Component Freedom and BFE for this tournament so you can make your robots look more... awesomer. OBJ RA2 is allowed. If the robot crashes the game when damaged, though, it'll get rejected. Any entries that are terrible will get rejected straight away. Put some bloody effort in. I will also ask you to rename/reskin robots with inappropriate nameschemes and skins. They will be rejected if the name isn't changed within 24 hours.
Battle Rules: The battles take place in... well, its a complete bloody secret. The arena will be revealed once I get to the end of signups. Each match will last for 3 minutes and all fights will be a 1V1. All of the brackets will be double elimination. If your robot cannot show controlled movement for about 30 seconds, then it'll be eliminated. In the event that the match hits a judges' decision, then I will be deciding, based on the criteria of Aggression, Control and Damage. --Damage and Aggression are worth 2 points while Control is 1 point. --In order to avoid obvious bias, I will not enter my tournament in any way possible. Matches will be re-recorded until I have a match with minimal havoking.
Entry Lists: Green: Accepted and AI'ed. Amber: Received and Accepted Blue: Received Red: Rejected Italics: Update Used

I gotta say I really like these, especially with the team theme you've given them! One thing to note is that piglets aren't meant to be drive motors (see: the first two), consider switching those. How well does the train move? 6 slimbodies doesn't seem like it ought to be enough for a SHW.
