Bad news... I had to reinstall Windows, and so my external hard drive, with all my applications and programs, got formatted by mistake... luckily I got all my 3D WIPs in the cloud (OneDrive), but I've got to download the 3D programs again.

To all: No... I'm not dead! I'm gonna continue my work today, if all goes well. EDIT: Just started on Matilda again... now imported the model from Robot Wars Arenas of Destruction into 3ds Max, so it'll be much easier to get a better picture of how she looks

Thanks for the criticism guys I will indeed take that in consideration. More images, less movements, yes. I thought that it was more of a slideshow myself. But hey, it's the first time I did a stop-motion video at all, anytime. Still, I will take more time next time to do this

Shortening down my slideshow between the photos to half a second (so basically, every photo is half of a second). Anyways, it became one minute of a video. Put like an hour in it or so... not sure... but here it is!

When we see your hands on screen, that breaks the illusion, so the choice is pretty clear. Stop motion will set you apart from the countless people who do the same thing as you.
You hit it Sonny! I totally agree! I couldn't have put it in a better way myself! Consider it done!

Feeling a little bit like Microsoft did with many of their users/consumers of Windows 8 (myself NOT included though, I use 8.1 ), I got a lot of feedback from a sharp-eyed user here called Knight. My apologies goes to him for completely ignoring his constructive criticism. Once again, I'm very sorry Knight. You're totally correct about it feeling like a chore when watching it, now afterwards when I watch it myself, I do agree on that. But, to come to the point, what would you guys want to see in my series? Be it stop-motion (WILL take longer time between videos) or handmade (which I do prefer ). You choose! Your opinion is important for the development of my series! Please consider to vote! Thanks! Best Wishes to you all SkullKid2000

Alright. I didn't put a a lot of time in those videos, but yeah, Knight has a point. But as my interests in different things changes, I can't promise I will upload another one soon, or at all. Sure, they could have been done MUCH better, but I did what I thought would be good enough, and surely it could have been made better. So Knight, I'm sorry. But I guess everybody can fall into conflicts sometime. It just doesn't happen to me a lot. Best Wishes to you all :) SkullKid2000

don't get offended here.
bro I know it's hard to hear, but Knight is 100% correct. I'm not saying this to be mean. His notes are valid. Your videos need a lot of work if you want them to be entertaining. and don't say "don't watch my videos if you don't like them", because improving your videos will make more people WANT to watch them. You just dissed off Knight's advice by saying "oh I do this my way"... which, you know, is fine, but don't use it as an excuse to not improve. As it is, it's just a person moving toys on their desk :/
Please don't use this criticism as a reason to be bitter or not post any more of your videos though, use it as a reason to grow and improve in your videos. Like I said, I'm not doing this to be mean. I wish you the best man. :)
Sure, I can take advice, if it constructive, but Knight brought up negative points, not what could be improved. I do indeed do this my way, and I'm not changing that statement in any way. BUT I AM open for advice, if it sounds more like what jaydee99 said. Bringing up negative things won't really "cheer" me up to do anything to change what I am doing. Sure, if you read this Knight, please tell me what I can do to improve my videos, I would definitely appreciate it.

I'm still not sure how to respond to this. Where do I start?
- The camerawork is lazy
- The editing is near non-existent. It looks like you just plonked raw footage onto a timeline and then added some music
- The sound design is incredibly lazy. No attempt to hide any distracting sounds that your camera picked up
- You stumble over your words a lot
- You repeat some things a lot
- You really couldn't find any suitable sound effects?
- Your commentary is dull and not captivating in the slightest
- There's no attempt to actually animate anything. Instead, you just manhandle your toys on camera and hope the audience is immersed anyway
- There's no attempt to disguise the fact that this is taking place in someone's bedroom/living room/basement/torture dungeon, but the audience is apparently meant to ignore this
It may sound harsh, but it felt like a chore to watch these videos.
I don't think you sound "harsh" at all. Everybody's a beginner at things, including video editing. I haven't done this for a long time, so I accept criticism, be it good or bad. Still, everybody's different. Your opinion is up to you. I'm quite satisfied with it. If you don't like my videos, don't watch them then. I have already got a like for one of my videos. Oh, and about the animation, I choose to use my hands to drive the robots, as I see stop-motion as ineffective and time-consuming, plus it looks AWFUL. Other than that, I got inspiration from "Hogwild94". Like I said earlier, if you don't like my videos, DON'T watch them. It's really simple as that. I do this my way. You may want to try it on RA2, I appreciate the enthusiasm shown by you though :)
Thanks Jay :)

*Bump*
Does anyone have any suggestion how to decrypt the encrypted .rob files in the MyRobots folder? I'm looking to edit my robots weight by hand.

My version of it.

if it is a single drill, i also assume it will be kinda weak combat-wise.
Not necessarily... that drill plus those two jaws at the front. Now Drillzilla had at least, in my opinion, better weaponry than Razer.

It would be possible if there was a motor that spun in an elliptical pattern - no clue if that's actually possible.
I see. Maybe I'll fire up 3ds Max give Drillzilla a go...

I should forewarn you, no one's made a drillzilla replica that "shuffles" like the real one, mine just has really small wheels that exploit the imprecise collision meshes to make it appear to be shuffling.
I see. Do you think it would be possible for me to make this robot shuffle, like the real one? I assume shufflebots have never debuted in Robot Arena 2 (Design & Destroy). Think I should fire up old 3ds Max and get modeling
