No, it'll use Standard Realism, as Ironforge was intended to use (from what I can tell)

I just battled it against the HW VS in the pack and the hammers fell off on the 2nd hit, so I think some rethink is needed - this type may just not be viable whatsoever.

New poll - Ironforge or DSL-S?
Personally I vote for Ironforge - this tournament was trying to encourage different types of bots with it's complex weight rules anyway, so why not switch it up completely and see what people make?

Changed my mind a bit,
Before the main display tournament, I'll do a competitive tournament for popularity over YouTube and Here.

Rules;
-Replicas only
-BFE, Cheatbot2, Stacking, Thyrus Glitch (I'm not too sure what this is) ...Absolutely GREAT! DO IT! Whatever it takes to be a good replica
-Robot Wars Arena (Sonny Ressetis Skin)
-Havocing, once warning second DQ
-Hazards ON
-Skinned Components are great as long as they don't overwrite the original skin (so maybe select the skin to be hidden) but please upload only the components nessacery
-Filmed on Fraps, Made on Windows Movie Maker 6.0 by me.
-I guess 16 people can entry. I'm Not entering.
-There aren't many clusterbots but i'll allow them
- All entrants must be at least 770 Kgs. Cheatbot2 may only be used IF NECCESSARY. Replicas of bot's already in DSL are not allowed. (Unless there's another version of that bot that's different in appearence.) BFE may only be used for the following: 180 degree burst motors. Irregular chassis shapes. (As long as it's accurate to the actual robot.) Chassis Height. (Again, as long as it's accurate to the actual robot. Minimum chassis height is 2.5) AAM may only be used IF IT MAKES THE REPLICA MORE ACCURATE. Same thing with Trov Glitching. Stacking is limited to only batteries. Realistic rules STRICTLY APPLY. Robots MUST pass stability tests. NO UNNECCESSARY WEAPON SPAM! Havoking robots will be disqualified. Custom Components are limited to recolors of existing components, and must be sent with the robot. (THESE WILL BE THOROUGHLY EXAMINED TO ENSURE THEIR NOT SUPER CHEATY COMPONENTS.) Wedges will have a custom damaging smartzone installed to make them competitive. No NARmour, burst/axle/servo loading, rupt glitching/or effeing. Tourque-Reaction style robots will be specially treated to be competitive. (We need this to be fair.) 2-bot Multibots are allowed. A custom Crusher Motor will be supplied if needed.

Upload them either on this thread (preferably) or pm me. Your choice but entries close when I have enough. I may enter replicas from the BotExchange but don't worry... When I'm previewing the bots that will be in the battle, I'm going to say who's it is (he'll be the captain as well.. Obviously)

Please enter and good luck, Jaydee99

Also, if a moderator (AU, Vet... You get the jist) could raise the winner's popularity as a prize, that would be great. I prefer robot wars replicas but battlebots ones are ok.______________ END. UPLOAD!

This is now a signups topic and the rules above may not change.
You have 3 months, enjoy.

Okay, I've just deleted a whole load of posts. Seriously guys, arguments about jokes and sarcasm are NOT the topic of this thread. Thy and AS made some amusing comments so I left them, but everything else is gone. Please don't make me clean this again - this thread is getting a lot of attention from outside GTM and negative impressions are not what we need.
As with Jaydee's AI thread, any further stupidity/overreactions/off-topic will result in some form of warn for now. Please contact me or another mod if you have any issues.

I don't want to lock this because if Jaydee can improve his guide just a little, it'll be a useful asset in the arsenal of many new members - plus, I wouldn't want to stifle his possible contributions by just randomly locking the place he can give them.
What doesn't help situations is everyone bandwagoning - after I last posted, 3 people posted comments basically saying 'stop', which wasn't needed at all, which I am about to remove.
As for my recommendations, I will continue to recommend them, as I think letting issues slide like that can cause problems further down the line - possibly extending to a whole 'YOU AIED MY BOT WRONG' situation in a tournament.

Jaydee - what corrections (not just blind criticism like 'YOU'RE BAD') people suggest are generally from more experienced guys, which are generally the ones to learn from if you want to advance your skills. Completing this guide to the best it can be will help you become more respected within the community - recognizing a flaw and improving upon it is will reflect so much better upon you than simply leaving it and walking away.

If anyone has any other issues, please PM me or another mod and we can sort them out - everyone retaliating at each other really does get nowhere. Any further unwarranted flaming or arguing in this thread will incur a warn.

It works but I would find it unacceptable for a tournament or AI pack - absolutely out of the question.
Just use the py's as they were intended instead of making really dim 'shortcuts'.

Rob Collins is an excellent human. Even if he wants to know about that goblin movie where the foot is, like, shown.

I can only think of one person who knows what my bot is, but I'm sure he'll keep quiet lol.

I'll do my best. :P

There is no hate as such, Jonzu just has a habit of shoving it in everyone's faces when they are not interested.

Yeah, as 'owner' of the concept as such I'd say you don't have a brutal enough view on IRL as a lot of us boring people do.

I can make the channel. I might be the leader of the Minecraft Skype group. But to everyone that has TF2, that should be our main "show".

...we do have a general GTM Skype Group, as well as a GTM Skype Call Group, Skype Minecraft Group etc

Voted TF2. Also we do have a general GTM Skype Group, as well as a GTM Skype Call Group, Skype Minecraft Group etc, just for the newer among us who are unaware however these are unmoderated as to language and content so only ask me for some kinda entry if you can take whatever Andy feels like throwing our way ;p

No, it's really not allowed. And I think as I might've stated before over Steam, I'm not believing any of your apologies anymore. People waste a lot of time trying to help you get better and become more respected etc for you to throw it back in their faces when you 'troll', so yeah.

This is a great thread.

I disagree, we already have at least 3 CoD threads over GTM. I'll merge this with the main one and move the main one into FPS's.
