It may be possible.... The hard part is tracking the location of gmf objects.

Much appreciated, Serge. Can you get on MSN for a minute?

The current modification is dead simple, it's just replacing four bytes in the exe.
Nice Serge. I've been to this land several times,.. but could never get out without having a butterfly stuck to the bottom of my shoe....and screwing things up. IOW: I've tweeked the exe at this level in several places that I think would make useful mods, but I never knew if they were actually beneficial because I could never 'Save' the edits without corrupting the exe. What program did you use?

OUCH!
I apologize for the brazen, cruel comment. I went too far. It gives me the chills to even think about doing that to a BB Chevy. (I recant. I really don't think this way. I'll demote myself to Adminstrator... Just please don't report me to PETC!) Sparks, You tend to hyperbolize criticism. And people play with this in you. But then you go and feed the problem by starting another 'fragile personhood' thread. Not 'everyone' hates you. And why would it make a difference to you anyway... Just keep learning and contributing, and please don't start more 'threads like this'.

WOW! I didn't know you had it in you... Sounds like Madiaba accidentally logged into your account!
I'm greatly insulted that you think it was accidently! May your BB 572 get sprayed with .................... Mopar orange .... There! Sparkbutt, just quit worrying about if people accept you or not, and just honestly face yourself (checking the input of others for accuracy) and deal with what you find. You ARE doing better. Just keep learning/growing.

I tweeked this arena.gmf to have 4 starting points, and it works much better. Ideally, though, it should have the py also modded to add "AddCollisionLines" and let the AI know the pit is there.... if anyone has the time...

tl;dr
Maybe you should have because that IS the point exactly; our ability to check things out continually decreases,... with the attitude 'unless it's stimulating, why bother?'. An increase in Awareness/Attention deficit results. "You don't know, what you don't know." A drunk often doesn't know he's drunk, and would not bother to check out a friend's assessment that he's not in-touch cause he 'feels' fine, while his discernment of reality is impaired... "I can drive fine!,.. get out of my face!!!" Well, he'll probaly not learn until he reaps chaos for himelf and others (it affects his comfort level),... but that's a bit too late.

Sad, for sure, where things are headed.
Some observations: A common point of Denial, is in the fact that we mostly concentrate on conquering chaos outside of ourselves, to distract from issues within self. This at least gives self a synthetic 'sense of acheivement' while never really dealing with the place in reality where one should start. It's like a tow truck never bothering to honestly face its own defects, going out to help make the roads (society) more orderly... In fact we often create 'pretend scenarios' (theater, movies, sports,..) in which we can vicariously enter into the character's/player's role and overcome chaos, rather than face the real ones within myself. It's just a socially acceptable buzz, conveniently supplied by it's producers... There is junk food for our bodies: it stimulates to only 'feel' good, yet has no substance that would produce 'actual' good in us. There is the same for our minds.... We must consistently 'think' above just our 'senses', i.e. 'sensual discernment'... in contrast to higher 'Cognitive discernment': Think about it: Take one of our senses, taste(eating). Are there things that I can eat (input) that my taste will tell me is good, but in reality is not good for me? And are there things which may not stimulate my taste, that when thought about are in fact/reality good for me? Extrapolate this to all 5 senses; what I put in my eyes, ears,... This is why we take good care of our cars, but 'put dirt/sand in our own oil' as a person. So 'sensual 'discernment is not reliable, and thus dangerous to self/others to function by. Linguistically it's invaded our psyche: It's not "What do you think about this/that?", but "How do you feel about this/that?" .. leaving us to discern at only a lower, unreliable level. The higher Cognitive faculties must be used to help us rise above the level of a beast/animal, else we will reap hell and chaos for ourselves and each other.... Check yourself today... Watch how your discernment for taking care of your car is more objective and thus better than toward ourselves. If you only sensually discern what I'm describing here, without thinking it through, you will assess this as 'not stimulating'/'bad'. But 2+2=4 ALL of the time, for you and your car. Are you putting junk in your mind/body while you put the best oil and gas in your car? And though you might 'feel' ok when you do it, are you 'really' ok?...or actaully damaging the vehicle(you)? Then be consistent and do the same with your car. Something to Think about... BTW: I'm not against media or sports, but only pointing out the abuse of them as an escape, and the producers of them 'convenient' production of such for profiting from the addicted...

So, Joe/Nar, in order to be on the same page (congruent paradigm), please list all spinning AI.py type options, and their distictive traits, as you are suggesting they be officially designated...

@CB: I'm sort of glad that you posted your input, CB, about this cause I'd read the thread when Nar first posted it, but didn't respond do to being left in a flux to decide between the pros and cons of it. Though it would cause confusion about the older versions, I suppose renaming them might clarify things from this point forward. I do think that the old ones should be left in circulation for existing AI apps, of course. Our AI chart, that Phil linked, should probably be updated to include any renamings. FYI: FBS_1 was the result of frustration from FBS bots getting counted out because of the 'generic' coding in their AI.pys. After a couple hours of work figuring out how the "ImmobilityWarning" coding worked, I thought I would write a simple FBS.py with a bullet-proof (100%) Immobility handler. While I was playing I added some other basic features like adjustable "initial charge/ram engagement". As he mentioned CB took some features and improved it, IMHO (FBS_2). Also: Last time CB and I talked about this, we did not have a distinction between FBS and SNS. Have you guys made one? If so what are the criteria of each?

They both are nice, IMO... better than I have time to turn out. Another idea: You could also write a simple py edit, so that it loads both; each one alternately, or randomly.... NP. Whatever you like...

What about a 'Sparring' section, where threads that develop into flame-fests could be moved to just burn itself out....eis nihilo...?

That's good too. S-32, You might write these new rules up in the 1st post so they're accessible, instead of buried within the thread. This thread is one of your best, IMO...

EVERYBODY STOP ****ING POSTING! (I can say **** here ACAMS, right?)Yes you may, S-32,.. this is the place, NP.
The title is The most memorable and funniest quotes thread. Emphasis on most. Something posted yesterday isn't memorable... You might look at the first post where the author of this thread quoted someone from the day before... There is no way anyone could have know your definition of 'memorable'.
All posts from now on have to be a month old and from this ****ing forum. This is a good idea, and it's your thread. I'll help facilitate your new rule.
