Ohh yeah, Scraps in it, but i cant remeber which one you sent me. (What was it called again?)
So, with that, since i cant be bothered to redo the table, Pod F will now hold 4 bots rather than 3 (Bot A will fight Bots B,C & D, bot B will fight C & D and bot C will fight Bot D, so in all, 4 fights) so that i can get ashman 12 in (youre lucky! :P)
I don't mean to be a bother... But I thought we established twice that Scrap was in. I just figured I would bring it up because he isn't on the forums as often as I. If you just need the name of his bot, maybe shoot him a PM? I dunno. He's my friend so I want to help out.

Resident Evil Code Veronica X The part when you are in the cargo plane and you have to knock the monster out without dying. I tried to defeat him for weeks, over and over and over. Finally, my friend came over and was like: "Hey, I can do it right off the bat." Sure enough I loaded it up and he knocked that sucker back off the plane in less than 5 mins.

Awesome. Proportion wise the left hand should be much smaller to give the illusion of distance. Should be easily photo-shoppable though. if you shrink it a few notches I think it would make the picture all the more better. Right now the hand is the same size as the right one, which throws off the whole thing.
Edit... Doh! I just saw how both arms are angled back... hmmm my mistake. I really like your art Reier!

Yeah, just go to his youtube channel in the meantime... fight four of heat three is listed as the most recent one uploaded. It is pretty epic too! Awesome fight!

Whoa Whoa! O.K. Time out for a sec everyone. Take a deep breath. Just take a look at page 42 and re-read it in case there was any confusion. We established that FBS_1 was indeed used for the first match. And it did not perform as expected. Joe had the .py adjusted to make it more effective to give the bot a better chance because he was under the impression that the original .py was not going to suffice.
But, essentially, Viper's bot really is not cut out for this type of arena. And it resulted in its demise. In an enclosed arena that bot would have done a ton of damage. Altogether, it does not have much to do with the AI, just in the design itself. Which, I must say, I would not want to face that bot in an enclosed arena... it would make me rageface.
Joe, you are putting on a great tourney as usual. I get the sense you are getting a bit burnt out, maybe just take a break for a bit and come back to this in a week or something? You take on sooo many projects, I would hate to see you wig out and lose it. The tourney is only fun for us if it is fun for you.

Oh man... I am up against Viper. This makes me nervous because I don't know if Haphazard can get a good grip on that bot to push it over the edge. It is a bit unpredictable.

Is E-Machines good ?
E-Machines is Acer's cheap cheap cheap brand. I have had pretty good luck with their monitors so far... But their computers on the other hand are manufactured with very low-end components. Because of this, they are usually unfriendly with upgrades like Video Cards. I, honestly, don't think you would be very happy with an E-Machines computer.

No, I think Gateway and Dell are different. I'm using a Gateway laptop now... maybe the names are separate, IDK. They could be owned by Dell, I'm no expert.
I was wondering what happened to Compaq though.
I just looked it up... and I was wrong about them being owned by Dell. They are actually owned by Acer as well. I had forgot about that because, initially, Gateway first bought E-Machines to have a cheap computer lineup with a different name. When Acer acquired e-Machines they also bought up Gateway as part of the deal. Gateway still operates pretty independently from Acer though. They still have most of their original tech-support offices. E-machines on the other hand is totally absorbed by Acer and really bears no resemblance to the original company that it once was.

Nah, They are totally independant companies. HP will often use Toshiba branded drives and RAM in their computers (because Toshiba manufactures those components). In case you were mixed up: Compaq = HP (HP bought compaq out 4 or 5 years ago. They use the Compaq name for their cheaper / low end stuff.) E-Machines = Acer (Acer bought out E-machines appx 3 years ago for the same reason) Gateway = Dell? (Gateway was bought up... I think it was by Dell but I am fuzzy on that one) Alienware = Dell (Unfortunately, Dell bought up Alienware to beef up their high-end gaming division... It also put the brand in Best Buy as a result)

Oh hey, Just wanted to throw this out there, Toshiba makes really good laptops these days. They also price them fair now (they used to be like Sony but they wised up). I have a couple of Toshiba models at my store that sell for less than 700 bucks and they are nicely designed / equipped. Might be worth looking into, because I have heard pretty good things about Toshiba's support.

Man, I am glad Rancid Cesspool is progressing... I spent a crazy amount of time working on that bot. I gotta say. These AW tourneys are a lot more fun than we all initially expected back when Jonzu announced CA1. :D

Probably not. According to the rules major updates are pretty much accepted until just before the tourney when he AIs the bots. I would say you are safe TG. Unless your bot totally pwns and would likely win... in that case I am afraid it is too late.

I love my Acer desktop. <3 It has been very good to me.
Serge is right about Lenovo laptops... but be prepared to pay much more. (they are often more expensive for the same specs)
I don't agree about the hardware or power jacks though. Their quality is usually very good and has improved a ton over the past 3 years. Their support is, indeed, horrible though.

I would cry if it were single elimination. Best two out of three just seem more justifying for the biggest tournament of the year.
The idea/implementation of wildcard entries have been pretty successful in the past. Could you just group all the late entries into a rumble bracket to determine a solid winner for spot number 64? Just throwing out ideas here.
