Yeah, lets face it, the disk was crap, they only made it for the frame.
And anti-hypnodisk? How would that work? 1825

What happens when you reach that? 1826
DSL TC Showcases / Re: Scorpions Showcase« on: February 12, 2011, 07:11:13 AM »
Meh, that wasn't really the point of it, perhaps I shouldn't have called it a popup.
The plow traps wedges anyway, as I said, so it's more of an anti-popup thingy. Still, I admit it's not THAT effective, it's just different. 1827
DSL TC Showcases / Re: Scorpions Showcase« on: February 12, 2011, 07:01:21 AM »
Yeah, I noticed the unrealistic thing after I posted it, it was easy to fix anyway
![]() Shallower wedge? whatcha mean? Oh, and in testing, the wedges are average, but the plow does what I thought it might do and traps wedges quite well, so yeah. 1828

DSL TC Showcases / Re: Scorpions Showcase« on: February 11, 2011, 06:24:04 PM »
Meh, quick build, but still, why not make popups, interesting! ;P
The Glass Prison: ![]() ![]() Yeah, strange and untested, but looks promising I think. Armour's plastic 3, and battery power's pusing it, i know, but meh, screw it, it's enough to get by. 1830

Sent my entry.Yes, I know, I put you on the front page.....but now i've looked at your bot, it's unrealistic, sorry, but the weapons go right through the CB and the batteries. So you'll need to fixxx that if you want to enter, sorry. 1834
DSL TC Showcases / Re: FOTEPX's DSL Showcase« on: February 11, 2011, 01:48:38 PM »
Let me rephrase the invertible part then, that bot's gonna be bumbling quite a bit if it gets knocked off balance because the wheels are so small and the disk in particular so big, also it looks like it could get stuck on it's side, on the new version especially.
And you don't want to protect your bot better?!?!? The setup you have offers no protection really, look at other setups, like 123's latest wedgeless VS's for example using plows to help trap other bots and/or my tornado of souls bots which use skirts to stabilise AND protect. There are far more usefull setups you could have, all there is on that bots setup is a lot of exposed extender work and wasted weight. 1835

DSL TC Showcases / Re: FOTEPX's DSL Showcase« on: February 11, 2011, 01:33:13 PM »
Yay wedgeless VS!
But...the setup could be improved, there is very little/no protection on that bot, and the size of the bot with the small wheel size looks to me like it's cause invertibility problems anyway. 1837

Not at this point, no, kinda pointless really as it'd still basically come down to first come first serve I suspect, but probably take longer in the long run.
