Yep, it's only considered realistic by a lot of people/tourneys because it's simulating something that can and has been done repeatedly in robot combat.
Or use my setup, higher chassis, place Multi extender where the Perm would attach on its side attach point. BFE chassis lower and attach perm. Then no extenders are cut by the weapon.

Are Metal Hinge spikes allowed? They act as sort of a spike trap in my bot.
As long as they aren't wedges.
I'll check Madman's and Kurt's bots soon.
It's Trilobite in my showcase. I'd like to think they are hinged spikes rather than wedges (  they are even called Hworf Spikes) but I'd see how others would call them wedges.

It was THz.py actually. Was sometimes a bit glitchy but Titanium Tapper (LW Hammer) can fight using it.
