I'd prefer if the snappers were turned around so the wedges are slightly wider (also 140cm square extenders only weigh 5 kg).

I'm not quite sure if this is the type of tournament to have safeguards for any type of matchup. Fast and wide spinners might just beat you through WBP flicking at the extender armor. Maybe razor armor instead or do they not deal damage that way?

One or more of the patches might be missing. You could try your luck with the 1.4 patch: https://gametechmods.com/forums/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=1

Or just redownload a full working game: https://gametechmods.com/forums/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=4

you can't exactly make a horizontal bar spinner without it looking like tombstone

Icewave, Hazard, Ironside, Ghost Raptor, and countless others would like to have a word with you.

That said he's not being salty, just a bit harsh that's all. I do agree that it's overpowered with those motors. You can add some more flair with the freed weight.

I am here to reprimand you for not entering the wheelchair for BOTM. wwwwwwhhhhhhhhyyyyyyyyy

That said, it looks weird with the outer panel digging into the chassis. Will adjusting the angle on OBJ be too tedious?

While that is a fantastic skin, IMO it would look better as an extenderbot.

I'd try to make the front part of the chassis untapered so you can push the anchors as close to the edge as possible, removing the need for 20cms. You could also give it a chassis wedge if you aren't doing anything else with the free weight.

I saw a video of an actual robot that looks like this doing self-righting tests, but I couldn't find it again when I tried to use it as a reference for a skin. Cloned it anyway :P

Servo and rear drive are embedded within the drum, but the stock HP DSL servo isn't strong enough to move the arm under the bot. No idea what AI components are slow and strong enough (and spins 360 degrees). The bot in the video doesn't have flamers, but I tacked them on anyway to reach the CW limit.

Basically, I built a bot because I couldn't find the actual robot it's based on. HELP

HW could ditch the DDTs for Snapper2s if they're only throwing out an iron each.

As for the MW, I don't think the sample size is enough to tell how good is "decent", but there should be a couple of decent ones in other showcases. My experience with your kind of design was that it couldn't turn fast enough and it would glitch on heavy contact. I think Geice has built one that (probably) works though, so I recommend cloning his design.

You could make it slightly skinnier and longer so the blade is flush with the chassis edge and just let the wedgelets do their job, but I don't think that warrants a full rebuild.

Coyote looks sweet.

IMO Carrion's eyes aren't emphasized enough (4 colors within a small space doesn't help).

Werewolf is easily BOTM material.

My criteria for location of showcases pretty much just depends on the most used mod. If you keep on using CF, the showcase is just fine located in Custom Components. Should you start making stock bots without CF though, you'll just have to either create a new thread in Stock Showcases or request a thread transfer.

I'm not quite sure how competitive you want the bot to be. CF enables a lot of potential for stacking components, enabling you to create deadlier designs with less chassis complexity and extender work. Either way, I do recommend a shallower chassis slope if you want it to flip more effectively.

Is there a misplaced component on the wedge of the second bot? Or is it just some skinning glitch?

witness 8 years of stock building failing to translate to replica item management

uhhhh just so i can say that i've tried my best for the botm before i got overwhelmed by item choices and design sacrifices in replicating cherno alpha

Currently at 1200 kg and I'm estimating my overall progress to be around 10% (planned on making the piston fists and other stuff move). End result should kinda resemble this:

Also I could've spent more of my free time on this but I never anticipated my SCv4 Acrid to have AGOD >12 rebuilds in a row ty havok :heck:

I would just use 20cms instead of 40cms on the plows and angle them a notch outwards. Should help a bit with trapping.

Try to ditch the ballasts for more armor (front armor serves as ballast anyway). That weird chassis sloping thing you got there is unnecessary. Armor overhang is fine and probably even recommended.

There's probably some other stuff you can do (stuff like better drive placement, etc.), but it's better to get the popup basics right first.
