Thanks for answering, Trov! However, you've kinda lost me...
1. I thought I would have done this already after looking through other PY codes? Would you mind going into more detail? 2. Again, would you mind going into more detail?
While I'm here, nothing to do with this arena but I have a few other arenas in production at the moment but the only thing thats holding me back is the whole PY coding. Every time I try to add or modify a hazard, the arena either doesnt show up in the Arena List or it causes the 'Beta Arena' glitch. Even changing the coordinates of the Collision Lines ends up making them null and void (they no longer work, despite being in the PY). Am I missing a trick here? If you would be able to go into more depth with this I would be really grateful!

Hi Guys, I've been working on this lil' arena today and whilst I've learnt a few things that I've never been able to do before (e.g. the spikes I would never have been able to do) I've still hit a snag:- The blades that I've added on the two walls don't spin... Originally 1 did (the other three didn't spin but could turn if you hit them) but then I shortened the height of the fence corners and now none of them spin plus my game lags when using the arena :L Was wondering if someone could have a look at it all for me and let me know if I've done something wrong for future reference? :) Here is said arena: http://www.mediafire.com/download/hdmobbb0ixrmfcr/HELPME.rarIf someone wouldn't mind helping me and educating me as to where I went wrong I would be very grateful indeed ^-^ Thanks :)

If you wanted to change the stats quickly, just open up all .txt files in Notepad++, select the value you want to change (e.g. mass = 1) enter what you want to change it to (mass = 2) and then Replace All In All Opened Documents(?) and you can easily change all values without having to go through them one by one :) You can also do 'Save All' to make it extra quick :P (Yes I did learn this myself doing these lol).
And thanks! Truth is my current laptop is buggered and so I'm on my old one and the only game that works (somewhat) well on it is RA2 lol. I have a few other things I've been working on and that I'll need help with but I'll just take it one thread at a time haha :P

Hey Ya'll! Just wanted to quickly upload these incase anyone can make use of them - Coloured Extenders + Armour Plates from DSL3. They come in all sizes, and in the colours: -Red -Orange -Yellow -Green -Blue -Purple -Black -White -Hazard (Armour plates only) They have the HP and Fracture of the Steel components, but I've given them the weight of the Aluminium extenders so that I can use more without worrying about weight too much. Link: http://www.mediafire.com/download/0gkn1h34r0922q0/Coloured_Extenders.rar(If it doesn't work then just lemme know) Hope someone can make use of them. They're fun to use to add colour to bots and potentially make replicas ^-^

I think it's only fair that I write this post in this thread.
The pack will be discontinued from my end. I will no longer be working on it due to the fact that I no longer have time to do stuff like this. I'm currently in a hard stage of life and so would just be holding the pack until 2018 if I was to continue it. So I will no longer be doing any more work on it.
However, I have handed all rights over to HereticBlue to use everything I have made for this pack (released and unreleased) for his amazing pack. I will be sending everything I have over to him later on. Please go and support HereticBlue's work as it is incredible!!
I'm really sorry that I won't be able to continue this pack, but I will occasionally be around on the forums to see how everyone's doing and how things are going.
Thanks, Matt Hunt (WhamettNuht)

Bit of a nostalgia overload... Hey guys!! :) Really sorry I havent been on here in AGES. Been busy, plus I have a tendency to leave a project when I'm halfway through it (I still have 2 more Sims 3 EP's I was gonna do waiting to be finished!). Work on this since my last post has been... Miniscule. Petite. Tiny. However, I was reminded about this as I have decided to do an advert for this as part of my BTEC Media work. So we may have an advert soon for an unfinished project (Yay...... ) I have tried however on many an occasion to do the odd little bit, however my 3DSM 5 isnt working (i'll post details later - I'm writing this from a College Media lesson atm). Anyway, just letting you all know what's going on :) Had a quick skim through the messesages in this thread and it looks like a lot of you have been doing some much needed tweaking work. Much appreciated!! Later on I'll have a closer look through the last few messages and might ask one or two of you if you wouldnt mind being my right hand guys (or gals, if any have joined since I've been away!). Shall post more later about situation and error with 3DSM, and hopefully if we can get that sorted out, we might get to being 3/4's of the way finished! (Yay!!!) 'Till then, keep safe guys :) -Wham

These look amazing!! Great work! :) I might be able to work with you on converting the mesh to a file RA2 can read - as for the very fiddly coding part, might wanna ask someone like Trov...
But yeah I'd be willing to help :)

Thanks guys for reporting the bugs :) However I fear I may not have time to fix all these issues by myself...
So I'm recruiting
I'm looking for someone who would be able to help with fixing all of these sorts of bugs in weights, balancing, skins, ect. If you feel brave enough aswell I may be able to teach that person my method of creating custom meshes for the game... it still isnt perfect (hence the problem with Collision problems, The Revolutionist's shell shadows being 'strobe-y', ect. ect.) It's a new method and to my knowledge I think I'm one of the first to do it...
But anyway I would like to have someone who can do aforementioned things help me out with this. If you're interested apply within and whoever I feel would be good to have help me I'll inbox to sort out rest of the details.
Anyway, if you feel you would be useful, the please do help! I already have akshaylan helping with UI so another pair of hands couldn't hurt :)

Thanks guys! Nice to know you're all enjoying it! :)
Right... to respond to things....
Havoking Axe Bots: What Thyrus said Adding weight: What helloface said RW Arena Camera angles: I will most likely get round to it, but could also use some ideas *hint hint* (That's not an excuse to go cray cray with the pictures and suggestions though :P) Bot Skins: I'm trying my best with what I have available :P The Bull, Dextrus, ect.: IGNORE THESE BOTS they are no longer being used they're now just an idea that's temporarily being used to fill space in the AI teams Diotior: What Jonzu said. In regards to BBEANS arena though - there's a code in it that replaces the smoke particle effect with the fire one, giving robots the fire effect. However if I did that just for the sake of 1 robot then that wouldnt look as good for the others. So untill someone can create a new 'fireball' particle effect and enable it to be used via a small flamethrower that activates when a robot has received a certain amount of damage - then I will do it. HypnoDisc: Will hopefully get round to it. I also want to try and improve it's steering Dominator 2: Will also get round to it.
But please do remember this is just a small Beta to give you guys a taste of what's to come and buy me more time to work on things. There's still loads that I'd love to do but even some of those might have to come in any later versions.

Thanks :P And well I was originally planning on having robots from the games, but I'm not now. They're only in there to fill space in the AI teams. I also wouldnt click on any as some of their AI bindings have been overwritten by the newer replicas and I'm not sure which ones work and dont work :P

i like how kurt was kinda right
It was more of an agreement with Rob, how come there's so many file and computer problems to do with tournaments and AI packs and stuff?
That, I don't know, but everything is fine on my end :P *touch wood*

Hi guys...
I know I haven't posted anything for ages, but there is a reason why... A recent glitch with my computer has left me with certain files and folders deleted from my computer.... one of which was that of this AI pack. I'm determined to still do this AI pack, however since I've lost everything, it might not be for another few months, and the quality may be either drastically improved or downgraded....
I'm really sorry to be the barer of bad news, but unfortunately I don't know what happened and why it did, but at this stage it looks like I may have to start over again...
Really sorry :/

akshaylan That looks amazing!!! :D As for the component catergories, it could be an idea to use a couple of the little symbols seen on the robot stats screens in AOD? Like the shield could be used for extras (Even though I'm mostly going to be using that menu for pure decorative items and smart zones - all things like Behemoths scoop ect. come later in the weapons menu), the wheel obviously mobility, the exhaust...motors? the controller maybe power and the mallet for weapons? Just an idea :P As for the colour of the text, is there maybe something in the gib files? Like a hex colour code?

Just to prove I'm up to something: The claw will still take AGES to mesh though, due to covering the different parts, covering backfaces ect.

... Or has been working straight for the past 4 weeks despite being on summer break (I'm one of the few employees left at my job after a lot of the other moved to day work or been fired after it was discovered a lot of people had been leaving work 1/2 hours earlier than they should of done - meaning that they keep calling me in :L). I do have a couple of meshes in progress, namely Lightning, Gravity and a new Razer, but havent found the time (or tbh motivation) to finish them and convert them. But hopefully soon...
