I extract to c:\program files(86)\infgrames\robotarena2\components right?

and is that all I have to do?
Yes. You should end up with robotarena2\components\aolcd1.txt and robotarena2\components\aolcd\

Call me retarded, but I think it's a good concept. Most of computer users just browse the web right now, and a tablet with the iPhoneOS is a geat idea, as much as I hate closed platforms, I predict this will be quite a success. Also, the screen with it's multi-touch surface is a programmer's and designer's heaven, plus it's a dream to move on from the iPhone's API, since it's the same :D.
You can't argue, the iPhoneOS' MobileSafari.app is the best mobile browser there is.

I may get one if this gets jailbroken. As R1885 said, add a terminal and a VNC/RDesktop client and it's a sysadmin's most useful tool ever, apart a microwave for all those ramen noodles.

Believe it or not, I was a retarded 11-year-old n00b back then :D.

Site News and Feedback / Re: Warning Trojan Detected on GTM

Pardon my lack of knowledge, but how can an image be a trojan?
Enlighten me Serge or ACAMS.

Bumpity-bump.
Some JPEG parsers can have holes which can be exploited by maliciously crafted images. This is true fro every file format out there. and has for exampel been used in a crap ton of so called tiff exploits, where a specially crafted image could execute code on systems that used the libtiff library (the tiff exploit was used twice on the PSP, it was also used on jailbreakme.com for the iPhone).

Having way too much fun with alpha channels. If anyone wants the disc as a component for antweights, let me know.

Serge, You are pretty much screwed if you do DL sinister stuff anyway.

Neh, I don't live in a nanny state. Plus I often download torrents to a server somewhere in Europe, then get the data via FTP :P.

I can't see the 'gentlemen's entertainment' folder that RFS was talking about.

"E: pr0n" right underneath "WHILE YOU CRASH".

FBI bait. Not so much pr0n there, I just keep all my torrented crap on there so I can quickly toss it out of the window if anything bad happens :P.

Can you precise what error messages my compiler throws, and send me the file that causes error (upload it to pastebin.ca or crap).

1552
Yeah, my compiler/decompiler is stoopid and freaks out when you select the same input and output file :D. Sorry.

oh god. there is no such thing as a "control panel" for real-life robotic combat. you need a transmitter, receiver, speed controllers and electric motors.

Modifications / Serge's random modding utilities
« on: January 24, 2010, 04:25:14 PM »
I noticed I write a lot of little python scripts when I do some modding (RA2 or not), in order to simplify some common tasks. I'll gradually keep posting them when I come up with new ones. Let's get started:

Camera Angles Calculator
Python script. Give it coordinates to the camera body and what the camera is looking at, and it'll spit out the angles needed in the .py
Useful for creating / modding arenas.
Save as calcangles.py and double click (download Python if you haven't done so already).
