Congratulations on getting it down to a MW!

You have 4 spin motors (10 amps each), so you should be good with only 2 black batteries (20 amps each).  Since you don't need 3 batteries, you could shorten up that back tail part.  Donno what to do about steering issues, though.

Perfect.  Best robot I've ever seen.  11/10.

You can use multiextenders instead of that baseplate anchor/extender setup.  In fact, never use baseplate anchors in DSL - multiextenders do everything baseplate anchors can do, and then some.

Alright, I tested it out.  Forgive me for doubting the ability of the spikes.

I think you're overkill on the batteries there.  1 spin motor only takes 10 amps, so you can get by with only 2 blacks.  Steel 10 might be overkill also.  If you get rid of some batteries and down the armor a bit, you'll be able to get some more weapons on (though, admittedly, I don't know how exactly you might attach them), which might make it better.

Do the spikes actually work?  I thought they had normals.  I'm a fan of knives, personally, but I donno if they'd be any better.

Lookin' pretty good, though!  Glad the 2 wheel drive is working out for ya.

EDIT: Oh, you edited your post while I was typing that.  New design still has battery overkill, but good jorb on reducing chassis weight.  I'd either load up on more weapons, or try to slim it to a MW, depending on how much weight you save by getting rid of the excess batteries.

Control board/nifty stack is nice; I can never get those to work.  I think the rule is 1 nifty = 2 spin motors, though, so unless that's two stacked together, I think you're underpowered.  Wait for someone who knows what they're talking about before you make any drastic changes though.

Thanks for making something for D5, by the way!

Have you tried putting the weapon motors in front of the front wheel motors?  Or possibly just upping the back motors and making it 2wd?

You could also try putting the wedge in the front, underneath the spinners, to allow you to scoop up and then grind away at opponents.

Of course, disregard this if it turns out that I don't know what I'm talking about.

You got my logo and colors, right?

You can send in a theme song with your bot!  I won't use it for anything, but you can, if you really want to.

If you try to import a different texture, does it also go all weird, or does it only happen when you use this one specific texture?

Stock Showcases / Re: Thrackerzod is bad at Stock
« on: October 13, 2015, 11:31:53 AM »
So, last night I saw RedAce's proposition for a Stock MW hybrid challenge.  I'm not great at hybrids, and haven't played Stock for a bit, so of course I agreed.  Here's what I came up with:

It's an HS/poker.  The HS bit has 6 total irons and the poker bit has 4 irons and one useless razor.  DSA, of course.  I could have shored up the back of the chassis a bit, since there's some empty space betwixt the motors, but I had already rebuilt the thing several times to get the weapons on right, and didn't feel like doing it again.

Challenge Board / Re: RA2 CHALLENGE THREAD - DISCUSSIONS
« on: October 13, 2015, 01:31:04 AM »
As I wait for ReForged, let's have a stock challenge.  :P

- Stock MW
- Hybrids Only
- King of the Hill Match Format (Is this even allowed?)
- 2 Minute battles
- LumaZone Arena (Or the Red Zone Arena if KOTH ain't allowed.)
- No AAM, Hax, or (Non-cosmetic) BFE, etc.

Who's up for it?

You're going down, tubby.

Since they're replicas, they're not exactly built for RA2-type combat (with its lovely nonsense physics and whatnot).  Meanwhile, the other bots are built for RA2 combat, so they're going to be tougher.
