That VS is bloody lovely.
I think the HS would look better with a flat disc, but that would defeat the whole turtle thing.
All in all, lookin' sharp.

The Switch looks like a bit of a joke to be honest. The fact they're charging £300 for an underclocked Tegra X1 when you can get an Xbox One S or PS4 Pro for about £50 more is a joke. The controller looks like an ergonomic nightmare, and the fact that it's only launching with 4 games is ridiculous. Doesn't matter though, because Nintendo could literally just release Mario and a 'new' Pokemon every year and they'd rake in the cash
I don't know if you've heard too, but not only are Nintendo going to start charging for their atrociously gimped online service, but the features that they are actually advertising are that you can voice chat using a phone (Because that's totally convenient, right?) and you get a NES or SNES game every month that you don't even get to keep.

It looks like you may be able to get a couple of black batteries above the drive motors, but I'm not entirely sure.
The bot's sides are diamond-shaped, aka angled from both sides. if we could rotate parts on other axis than Y then i could easily do it. Working on a recreation of my old rammer, literally uttered a quiet evil laugh as i noticed E-Teks have a drive variant.
Ah. I didn't notice that. You could move the drive motors out slightly further and use thinner wheels. The issue is that ant batteries are pretty awful in DSL 2.2 and the Front hinge burst pistons that you're using for the weapon use up a lot of power. In terms of principle though the bot is very nice.

Fewer heavier batteries wouldn't fit, and without bot file editing i can't make it any lower. Also the ants are intersecting, i know, but after all if it were irl then i would most presumably make the wheels thinner. Considering slapping these GrannyGuard wheels or whatever they were called, i really like them but i never can really remember the name. Maybe removing the angled aesthetic flipper parts would free up the weight for an axle extension?
It looks like you may be able to get a couple of black batteries above the drive motors, but I'm not entirely sure. Looks solid for a first bot though.

The small wedges look kinda meh, and they're on metal hinges too I bet. Try and find a wedge that fits the shape of the bot better.
The wedges are on metal hinges but I don't really see how that automatically makes it non-IRL since they're in a position which they could easily be mounted in in real life. In terms of the apperance, I'm not really a fan either, but I was going for something that was actually an effective wedge, and all my attempts to make a wedge using Steel wedges and the like have been useless, so this is a compromise between appearance and effectiveness.

Decided it was high time to give Bocuma a rebuild since it's one of my older bots and probably my favourite one. Here's Bocuma IIChanges from the original include: - Increased Chassis Armour
- Smaller, more reasonably sized chassis
- Small wedges have been shifted to a more visually appealing, IRL looking spot
- Spike strips are now rigidly mounted rather than being mounted on skirt hinges. Hopefully more IRL
- Top armour is now one contiguous piece rather than a mishmash of different panels
Looks a lot more visually appealing to me and performs just as well if not better than the original version of Bocuma. Self righting in particular is way more reliable now. Pics below: External: Internal: Feedback more than welcome.

I love this game.
Holy sh** man. That's quite the collection you've got yourself there
Why would you ever do this to your wallet (says the guy that's spending 500$ on headphones this week).
What headphones are you getting? I'm a bit of a headphone connoisseur myself.
quite a few actually, I'm getting a DT990 600 Ohm, AKG K612, and a lesser known MSUR N650.
Very nice. Wearing my Fostex T50RP MK3s right now.

This is likely going to be my entry to Annihilation Nation. It's called Doctor Feelgood (Mega cool points if you can guess what that's a reference to BTW) MW flipper bot designed on the same principles (Speed, Strong Frontal armour) as Caldera was. the weird triangle pieces on the sides are there purely because I think they look cool. Same generic ass colour scheme as all of my other bots, but the internals are absolutely packed. 2X TWM3R2 Drives for Drive and 1X VDMA R/P Wide Medium for the flipper. External: Internal:

I'll be honest, I don't think Sun Flare is IRL with the motor having so little supports.
The robot has a supporting axle on the other side to make it look IRL. You can't see it because of the massive sawblade blocking it. ;P
I wasn't referring to the axle. The motor itself looks like it will fall out.
Eh. Nightmare's weapon motor is just straight up strapped to the top of the frame. It's definitely questionable, but it's not really different to Nightmare's motor arrangement.

If you get rid of the sticking out ballast on the flipper you'll have a very solid looking little MW there. Can't say I'm a fan of the SnS though. Looks a bit messy due to the weird irregular shape.

Yeah, no reason it wouldn't work. I remember something similar to this called the Open pandora years ago, only it was mainly made for emulators. I wonder what happened to that...
Open Pandora was the first thing I thought of when I saw this too. This thing is running windows and a proper Intel CPU though, where the Pandora ran Linux and a processor that was low end even in 2009. This thing has roughly the same specs as my laptop from 2 years ago(In fact, I think it might even be running the same processor) which runs RA2 flawlessly. I believe there's actually a successor to the Pandora coming out relatively soon, however, it's using ridiculously outdated hardware (Pretty sure it's using the same chipset as the Raspberry Pi 2 only running at 1.5 gHz)

So I was watching this video from LinusTechTips about a portable windows PC that can do some reasonable gaming, and it made me wonder. Snice he's able to play Batman Arkham Asylum at reasonable framerates, and the machine is windows based, what's to stop someone from loading RA2 up on it and having a portable way to play?
Obviously RA2's interface isn't very controller friendly, but hey, it could still be a lot of fun.

There is already a thread for this called make GTM great again!
That thread is worse than cancer.

Opened this expecting another sh**post but you raise a great point. If this game had actual, functioning online play I could see myself playing it pretty much every day, and, like you said, it would make previously useless classes of bot viable and encourage innovation in the bot building scene.

For reals? OK
Signups are closed. If you sent a bot today and I rejected it (you will know if I did so), I'll give you until this time tomorrow to send me a replacement.
Yep

Maybe i will enter reuop if i can get it's behemoth flipper to not get stuck. Or is that not IRL? I will submit multiple bots. I want to enter in every tournament. So don't think it's just me following you cause i am entering every thing.
Submissions are closed and have been for almost a week now.

Remove the front and rear casters and either give the axe a support or BFE it to swing 180 degrees and you'd have a very solid looking bot there.
