The logo is done. Now… onto the horns...

… and... Matilda's flywheel is about to get imprinted with the Robot Wars logo. Now, to fine-tune the horns on her crest.

Tonights annihilator being prepared. With six old legends entering my arena. Good luck to each and every one of them, as it won't be an easy task! Making it even less easy are the two house robots Matilda, in the top of the picture, and Sir Killalot of course at the bottom.

EDIT: This picture was taken in the morning, but it took until tonight for this annihilator to get "prepared".

It's not just the quality, it's the gifs take up a ridiculous amount of bandwidth compared to videos. Your gif is 83mb; it's fine for me on a 300mb/s connection, it's not so much for people on data caps or very slow connections. There's a reason that gifs aren't used for anything over 10 seconds at the most.
That's a good point. I didn't think about that. For future GIF's, I'll set the recording to around 10 seconds. That's for the tip Badger, I will certainly remember that :)

use streamable/gfycat links instead of uploading long ass low quality gifs
With all respect, I wasn't actually planning on keeping it in high quality as it is only a GIF animation. These are just for fun, and works fine for me. I can record in higher quality, if need be.

Matilda in a random battle against Razer, as I forgot how awful it was that Razer couldn't self right in Arenas of Destruction, only in Extreme Destruction.

That's Razer
In the latest GIF-image. I accidentally posted the GIF with the cropping tag at the end. Removing it solved the problem.

Creativity Showcase / My very own house robot
« on: September 25, 2018, 07:28:05 AM »
... His working name is "Jaws", and no it's not Bruce from the blockbuster Jaws from 1975 ;) This is one will be the BIGGEST, heaviest and most powerful house robot yet ever built. With imagination as my only obstacle, I will make sure that this robot won't fear anything, and have no weaknesses whatsoever, except speed.

I am well aware of that I have started on the new Matilda from the reboot. This titan on the other hand, will be the most awesome house robot of all time.

His current dimensions are the following (from inside Blender) approximately 2.4 meters long (from front to back), 2.6 meters wide (from side to side) and finally stand at 1.7 meters tall. He will weigh more than a ton. That's for sure. Probably between five to ten tons.

His armour will be superior to anything. Extremely thick Hardox. His primary weapon will be, hence his name, a hugely powerful set of crushing, piercing and chomping jaws (possibly on an arm, like Sir Killalot or Mr. Psycho or the late Major Damage, or even Goliath. But this one will be more than twice as powerful as the strongest jaws in robotic combat). The secondary weapon will probably be a huge circular saw, specifically designed to cut through anything.

A battle between the insanely destructive Hypno-Disc and a robot named "Hawk Eye". Armoured in kevlar, not too much trouble for Hypno-Disc's disctruction to reign supreme!

Note: Yes, I did indeed change Hypno-Disc's flywheel's damaging capability from impacts and also it's cutting edge

My newest piece of merchandise... perfect for any house robot nerd, like myself XD

151
It's quite an awesome machine. Although the house robots are and will always be my #1 favorites. But Chaos 2, Hypno-Disc and Razer will always be my favourites among the competitors!

152
All I say is look up his e-mail. It's not a top-secret. But I'll advise not to bombard him with questions. I tried to stay short on words, but I kind of got carried away a little bit. Still, my e-mail to him was at max half-a page, or a little more…

It exists, but just because it does, doesn't mean he wants to, or has time to answer tons and tons of questions. No offense to anyone, but if you want to contact Ian Lewis, I'll advise you to look up his e-mail address yourself.

Off-Topic Discussion / Mystery solved!

I actually contacted Ian Lewis himself (through e-mail) and he helped me out finding out where this was. Indeed it was televised, just before Mortis televised run, in the replay for Razer, where it bit into Sir Killalot's back end. So, in other words, it was in The Third Wars, Heat P.

Here's that clip:

154
Yeah, I remember this one. But I will probably lay my case to rest, as it seems just about impossible to find this.

155
Yes. But I'm still sure I saw it somewhere... oh well...

156
*BUMP*

Anyone who knows when this was aired? As it said in my magazine, it was cut out from the Third Wars Pinball Warrior Tournament.

157
Hey, while this is a topic, might as well throw my hat into the ring-

I've got the actual game on CD! Put it in, installed it, installed the no-CD patch, made my first bot, went to play on TV Studio... None of the AI move. In fact, they only move when I go into the CPZ. Any fixes/suggestions?
I had this issue recently, I think I fixed it by capping the game's framerate to 60fps but I'm not entirely certain. Give it a go.

What Badger said! I've experienced this issue in other games as well. Some games just doesn't like more than a certain amount of frames per second. If that's not the issue, I will reply later during the day, as I've been up most of the night tonight making a new YouTube video... nighty night!

158
Hey skull kid, the fps issue worked out fine forgot to respond. But there is an issue with the ai not working bar when pushed into the CPZ so it seems to cause the HR AI to activate which in response the normal ai decides to work. got any fixes? also the game looks like sh** with everything on max also seems like partical effects for the most part aren't happening/working the only one that works is the armour breaking off?

Hmm... on which arena is this AI bug? I am mostly playing in the TV Studio, but I can't think of any bugs there. I've actually modded the "rwarenat.txt" which tells the game where the AI can drive and not drive. Coupled with the settings set correctly in the "global.dat", which is under the AI section of the "global.dat" file, I can change where the competitors "can" drive and where they can not drive :)

I am patiently awaiting your reply, no rush!

Seeing no boxed copy of Extreme Destruction (GBA) In your collection makes me feel like a very lucky man... Such a good game, as well.

You mean this one? ;)

One done, three more to go!

Will they ship to the US? Their website doesn't say.

If not, can someone help me get my hands on these?
I think SmythsToys will ship worldwide... although it doesn't say. Even if it's not worldwide shipping/postage, I do think they will ship to the United States as well! Only three more house robots of the new house robots, and the new house robot-line is complete!
