I suppose it does make it more like the actual series were, when you only found out who was fighting who during that week's episode, while retaining the prediction factor. Perhaps a week is a bit long, though, if people are getting a little impatient with it.

Looks okay. Do specify what the rules are regarding AI components and the SnapperII, though. Also, it says Stock for each event, and then DSL building standards, is that an oversight?

The next vote will hopefully be up by tonight.

Should be. Radio 5, I think. Although it's live on the BBC this time, rather than Sky.

I've just realised you don't have to wipe out humanity to get a score.

Since the deadline has passed, and he's not been here for a couple of months, I'm going to lock this for the time being. If he comes back and explains himself, then I'll open it up again. It is a shame, but there's no reason to keep it open if the host isn't here.

I'm a bit skeptical as to how you've attached the Snapper2s there, I'd have thought you could have attached them to the baseplate.
they are, the drive just intersects them
Really? It looks like they're angled forwards quite a lot. You could get the 6WD setup with only one SnapperII, though, so that would save you a bit of weight for something else.

That looks very nice indeed. I'm a bit skeptical as to how you've attached the Snapper2s there, I'd have thought you could have attached them to the baseplate. That'll help it with the wedginess.

That's actually a pretty decent design. Reminds me of Taur a little bit. See when you've got weapons like that, it's a bit better if you have one shot of the flipper down, as well as up, so we can see how it matches up with the rest of the bot. As well as see things you've put on it, such as the cutting tooth we can't see at the moment. I'd definitely try to get a few more batteries in there, at least. Maybe 7 or 8 would be the target for you, perhaps drop the armour a little.

Humm maybe the solution is to significantly increase the hitpoints for chassis armor while decreasing the HP of motors, so ppl have incentive to actually keep them inside the chassis.
Also maybe converting all weapons into concussion, which will block off bot types like "SnS" and "Popups". Damage will be much more momentum based like in real robot combats, not thousands of little spikes scrapping the target.
What do you guys think? Would you guys like a mod like that?
Sounds pretty good to me. If it were possible to do something about the "lots of weapons at the same time do more damage than one" thing that RA2 does, that would also be fantastic, but since it's part of the .exe, it's just a pipedream for now.
Should just ban weapon stacking.....
but thatll just bring up the "olol weld rule" excuse
DSL enforce no stacking in alot of things (ex batteries, motors). What part of no weapons can share the same collision box with another weapon is hard to understand?
I was thinking more along the lines of the rammers you see with a bunch of razors on the front and not much else. The weapons are still going to do amplified damage, even if they comply to the DSL no stacking rule.

I'm not sure about Showcases or Tourneys either, because there are members like MNB and kill343gs who don't showcase stuff or enter tournaments (bar Ironbot), but are still very much deserving of a Wiki page, I reckon.

I start out by selling all my symptoms to get no visibility, then buy level 1 of heat, cold and moisture, level 4 drugs, then all the transmission stuff. Wait until NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO is on every region, then buy stuff that helps it spread. Once everyone's infected, give them Encephalitis so they die. It's obviously too long, because the most I've gotten from that method is about 75,000.

So it's the last two surviving bots, or the bots with the highest scores go through? I was quite annoyed that Mouse Trap went out in the first round, though, I'd have thought it would go further than that.

I personally think that Nary will wake up tomorrow, check GTM, think that he's gotten away with it, then as soon as he reaches the end of his driveway, a helicopter piloted by ACAMS lands on him.
Nah, not badass enough for Naryar. ACAMS chases him through the Pyrenees in a gunship, Naryar is in a convertible grand tourer, such as a Ferrari California or an Aston Martin DBS Valante, then he loses control, goes off a cliff, then a few seconds before he hits the ground, ACAMS hits the fuel tank, blowing the car to pieces.

You may see myself disappearing in the sky with a twinkle.
No, that's not how you do it. You burst into a fireball, maintain the burn for about 2-3 seconds, and leave behind nothing but the word goodbye scorched into the ground.
i guess it is manlier so ok
Also with a suitably epic closing line.

His feet must look wierd. How on earth would he buy shoes?

So I totally gave 25% warning to ACAMS because he swore in Chatterbox :P
You may see ACAMS go slapstick on me very soon (hey, you can't be the slapstick deliverer all the time right ?) and myself disappearing in the sky with a twinkle. Although I still don't know : was the joke was pushed too far ?
It very much depends on how drunk he is when he gets back, I think.

I can't really tell if it's built for IRL or not. How does it not look IRL?
It's largely the lack of supports for the perm, in my view. It's just been plonked on top and left there. One supporting strut on either side for the axle's also going to perhaps see it bend a bit too much. Maybe I'm being a bit picky, I prefer seeing sturdy-looking IRL bots, personally, but I still think you should do something about the perm there.
