A cleaner way would be to chain a horizontal axle with a vertical axle (or vice versa). Can't say if it would still make the bot stable, but at least it flails.

There's a sharp disconnect in the design of the smooth body and the jagged axle cover/stabilizer. I guess you could use extender spam on the body?

It probably just looks goofy because it's not bee-like enough. Maybe add black stripes and a stinger to the rear?

A design like this demands googly eyes. That said, it does look more IRL than the previous ones.

Right click > Open with > Choose another app > Other options
Then just select Paint.net or look for it if it doesn't show up on the dropdown. 130

uhhh you could just attach the t directly to the anchor
Same thing applies for the plow. An anchor is practically better than the 40cm you used, plus the setup would make the wedges stick out more. Angling the motors would probably help as well, and then tada you've got Baby Bull. 131
Stock Showcases / Re: Bubbleman's Stock bots« on: November 09, 2017, 09:28:13 PM »An HS would like to eat those tasty side extenders on the FS.That's the point though, he wanted the extenders to take the hit rather than the discs. That said, ditching that in favor of using razors for protection could be worth it, or just using a bursted setup with birds. 132

18 kg is like 2 razors and longer wedges. If that's worth it, I'm not quite sure.

Why not go all maces on the Z-Tek version? Just rotate the drive motors if it's not invertible.
Hammer is still very messy. This is a scenario where it's worth to make the chassis larger just to properly accommodate more anchors or even an additional Snapper II. Heroic Sacrifice clone looks very clean. That's a pretty dense caster rack as well. Not sure if there's room for improvement if you try to lose a caster per row. 134
Real Robotics Discussion / Re: Ry's Philosophy for High End Combat Robot Design« on: November 07, 2017, 06:41:11 AM »i swear to god i wonder why ry hasn't been given vet rank yet.Because his last post was 11 years ago and was basically forgotten. Moreover, rank updates are always done in batches unless it's for staff. So swearing to god won't do much when you don't have common sense. 135

Yeah a 4-Mag isn't going to cut it for a HW shell. A 6-Mag is the minimum, but unfortunately you'll probably have to cut out a lot of the flair to free weight for that and some batteries.
SnS looking sweet as usual. 137

IMO your Revolution 2 entry is much cleaner and better.
I don't think there's much to be gained from having your drive outside (and static) other than having such a low chassis, but this also removes the capability of having a Snapper2 wedge. I'd try looking at a setup with a Snapper II holding everything (I think 4 plows are better than 2 swords). Otherwise if you really want everything to be static, maybe a non-invertible (but cleaner) setup would work. 139

the mw fs and rammer are hella cool
I still think the setup of the hammer hybrid is inefficient, but the curved hammer is pretty much the only improvement it needs so good job. And that FS hybrid is sick. Getting those Tempest Exterminator vibes. |
