nice to see you have put in effort into this (detailed rules and such) might I suggest you copy the whole thing into something like MS Word and correct all the spelling mistakes and edit the post above with the changes

If you need any help with this just give me a call or rather rm or msn message as I would be glad to help out :-)

Edit: also the bindings file is a little more messy in stock so I suggest you get Starcore 3 or RA2GE for you stock as the Bindings are a lot neater

Edit 2: o and 1.3 patch so you can use F10 cam

I can do it.. I did the Clash Cubes 2 arena but after hours of working on it (double checked everything) I finally compiled it only to find no transparency for the crowd walls ?? my only concern is that happening for the combat zone

good ole windows movie maker.. the animations and such I made in flash and used a program to convert them from .flv to .avi so windows movie maker could handle them. (sadly they lagged a bit after conversion they did start out originally smooth transitions)

on the last match debate LRA2 R1885s bot it actually rather stable except initial spin up this it because of the drop is a little higher in the rw arena then others and the wedges were hitting the ground first.. but the last robot I think R1885s needed was a fast rammer as it kept tipping the bot.. close match (if you looked at the damage of 'please die') and defiantly nomination for best moment

I have a question or rather a poll regarding the Clash Cubes 1 arena since it is just a skin and not a new gmf edited arena

Options:

  • not include it in the AI pack
  • Make it (proper GMF editing etc)
  • Just overwrite the combat zone skins and not have the combat zone

some things may still crash it but pop ups/ new windows appearing usally wont... the easiest way to save is just test garage and back

when bot building something serious I go in to the options and switch off full screen sometimes so pop ups wont minimize the game but rather appear behind the window

I don't quite know it was fully stable prior... It may have had something to do with targeting an opponent closer in qualifying... I believe the first flying around was the robot was spinning the weapon before it touched the ground at the start of the match (the starting drop is a little higher on the rw arena then others)

as soon as that bot goes over however there is no coming back it will never make it back on its wheels

Edit: also R1885's now has the death of many 2d audience members killed by Sky High on his hands lol

I had a thought ... in RA2 will proper walker robots receive 1.5x the weight (in other words a heavyweight will be 1200kg) ??

also on the flipper maybe take away a few snappers and increase battery's (and decrease empty space :P) the more power you have to more powerful your snappers are

I need to dig out all my Art Work files and scan some stuff lol here is one I did a few years back (when I was a wrestling fan) nothing is done on the computer.. the shadows on the top and bottom are because it was bigger then my A4 scanner  



Its not my best artwork just the only thing I had on hand...I wanted to paint a black backdrop but part of the assignment was to use the colors red and green

I didnt think that one was a Heavyweight though.. that was a better version of his "robot challenge" design.... I heard Rex was not to thrilled seeing the floor flipper (it was his original design for a stunt ramp for actors in movies before making a robot with it)

anyway.. Mortis looks good.. have you thought about DSL ? the steel or aluminum extenders would be better then the stock ones

added in all team names, logos and slogans to the game from what I currently have (check the first post to see what is still needed) the AI will overwrite the normal AI so for the team logos I just edited the existing logos with the new ones (so same file name) this is so when you apply the AI pack your AI file wont have 40 or so pictures in it

yeah but he understood that it was unfair... next tournament any py if you provide it but only for the purposes of AI.. (Click also used a new Timber.py for his bot)
