Off-Topic Discussion / Re: Ninja Warrior obstacle buliding help?
« on: December 18, 2011, 12:28:01 AM »
The most important question is why would you want to turn your bedroom into an obstacle course

I have a small bedroom but because of my height I'm putting the unstable bridge on my bed and the salmon ladder in a small corner of my room.

5 Reasons.

1. I would be a great morale booster if I do those obstacles everyday when I wake up.
2. I live in the UK and I'm 14 in which the chances of going to Japan are slim.
3. The people who make Ninja Warrior (SASUKE) have filed for bankruptcy so I thought why not bulid this?
4. It would an achivement if I bulid this.
5. Because I can.

Those are the reasons.

Is it possible to modify a pull up bar into something like the Salmon ladder?

what you need is to find a parkour gym.

That would be alright idea instead but I'm getting a pull upbar for Christmas.

how much square footage are you working with?  You must have a big bedroom.

I have a small bedroom but because of my height I'm putting the unstable bridge on my bed and the salmon ladder in a small corner of my room.

Why must you get fancy? Just do push-ups like any other regular athlete. You don't need expensive, complex stuff to become fit.

What for? Are you going to enter Total Wipeout?
Hell no!

Maybe you shouldn't build an obstacle course in your bedroom

If you want to build that huge thing, I'd suggest you move the building outside where you have plenty of room.

The salmon ladder I would need two pairs of those rungs
and the Unstable bridge I could attach the chains to my ceiling with the chains shorter.

Hey people I'm am trying to bulid one or two obstacles in my bedroom so I could practice but the problem is that I need to do it without studding into the wall and needing to support about 9 Stone.

These are the two obstacles.

The salmon ladder but not the second part, The stick slider.

And the other obstacle The unstable bridge.

Need to stick the chains into a plastered ceiling.

This is a thing I might do and I haven't told anyone I know not to mention my weak upper body.

So does anyone know how to bulid something like that and to get around the issues of the problems?

Just asking will there be robots that competed in Battlebots but went on Robot Wars a la la Frenzy and Mauler?

Stock is great its just I'm never in the mood to play especially with school and a messed up sleeping pattern.

That aside and being honest Click the two Rammers aren't as good as I thought they could be but Cold Front 3 looks class.

Anyone want to do a Stock MW challenge. I want to get myself back into buliding and playing RA2 and I thought this would be the only way.
Yeah sure.

Realistic or not? (I suck either way.)

I'm looking for a more innovative bulider to take on.
I would but TBH, I'd simply enter my 18 mace-HS
Want me to make the thread?
