Worst case is that you should download it again. The file might have been corrupted.

That's a neat way to balance a bar spinner. Would probably prefer to have some sort of rear stabilizer for the hammer, but it still looks good enough.

To be fair the rules did say to 'make something crazy' so tombklones and poorly built memebots should be rejected.

There should be a control that pushes the normal pupils back and pushes out crossed eyes if it gets damaged.

so cool

The ramplate assembly on the VS looks nice, but that's about it.

That Mortis thingy looks really great, though.

Say hello to AGOD. Any axle/piston that's built on top of another axle/piston will have a chance to have their collision mesh glitched out of the model. It just so happens that the game hates you. If you want to rebuild it, you have to also remove the original motor that holds whatever is glitched.

Much better. I like how you bridged the gap between the flipper hinge and the chassis.

Now we need another one in Gulf livery.

That's a sweet setup. Nice bot overall.

Assuming 10 razors is overkill, I don't think there's anywhere else you could spend the free weight. DSA is nice to have, but ultimately unnecessary for a one-and-done (or two-and-done) bot. Extra battery power won't do much when fights only lasts for seconds, so spending all the weight on razors was the best thing you could have done.

You're probably the luckiest stock builder right now since you're able to axle load a piston without teleporting it to another dimension. Sweet build overall.

alright this is harder than i expected

I just realized that an undercutting bar spinner is unfeasible in heavier weight classes IRL unless it gets accepted just so the audience can see it pull an Apex. And it's also ridiculously hard to build one up to the weight limit unless you pad the bot with tons of flair. Same chassis as the MW, double Moros blades, steel 3 and regular NPC drive.

If I ever touch DSL again, the next bot will hopefully be an extenderbot.

Intended to be a Jubjub Bird rebuild, might as well enter it to a tourney. Didn't realize 09 made a bot similar to this, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Would love to find a more effective plow setup, as HPZ HSes are still favored, and even RAD HSes have a 50-50 chance of beating it if the hammer misses and accidentally puts itself on top. Also this only has around a maximum of 5 swings before the arm fails to right, but by that point one of the bots should be limping or KOed anyway.

Not sure what else you would want out of it, though. Maybe a proper tail for the theme?

not all action/adventure games have interconnected and intricately designed environments, as well as natural character progression through stat and equipment upgrades, and especially the hands-free minimal storytelling

not sure about you guys, but i consider those the main characteristics of metroidvania games and souls definitely fit into the definition (now that you mentioned it zelda does feel like an offshoot of the classic metroidvania formula though)

shantae is bae and pirate's curse is dope

But I'm more biased towards 3D Metroidvania-like games like Zelda and Souls games.

Wide stances are especially needed for chained spinners, and you can do this with stabilizers or just rearranging your drive setup. Find a way to make the wheels parallel to the outermost motors, and the wedges should also be slightly wider. You don't have to force yourself to a bursted setup, a static would do the job easier and probably would also make the bot more stable.
