That skin is gorgeous.
It was a pain in the ass to make, took around an hour for each panel

This has gotten to the point where if I try and do any more custom skinning to it, I'm going to pull my hair out, anyways here is 2018 Lucky!

6 Custom Skins, wedges that are actually hinged, and a semi- decent 4-bar "lifter"

Discussion / Re: How did you find Ra2?
« on: May 16, 2018, 10:30:21 AM »
I watched Nerdcubed's video on robot arena 2, and thought it would be an interesting game, he linked it to the old RA2 website and i thought it cost money and thought "well bugger this" and almost never played, then after watching The Barangoat start uploading Battlebots reborn episodes i went back to the nerdcubed video followed the link to the DSL mod, took me to gtm where i found the download for stock, downloaded that and DSL, made an account and never used it until banter wars was getting some heat from people... so yeah quite a story XD

I find it both ironic and funny how all 3 splashes have a Ballista... might as well create a Gametechmods Archery contest XD

Bloody hell, Correlatianus!?!? Now THAT'S a throwback!

I'm liking the styles on Correlatianus and Dark Side Of The Moon, DSOTM especially. I love me a good overpowered flipper.  :thumbup

Glad you like them FOTEPX ^-^

God I havent used my showcase in a while, and to celebrate the occasion of my return, I have made some robots that may or may not be for DSL-S tournaments.

ENORMOUS.png

Enormus - A tiny head with wide thighs and something deadly down below, and for those of you asking, yes he is a big  boy  ;)

Correlatianus.png

Correlatianus - A reference to a finalist from BAMZOOKi Street Rules, a black and white bug, and a large weapon at the front, because why not?

DSOTM.png

Dark Side Of the Moon - A Pink Floyd inspired robot, with a flipper, wheelie bars at the back to prevent it from flipping itself over and getting stuck on its back, and also black and white (might change the left side to be rainbow colour to match the album cover)

Now with these DSL-S Robots (much like most of my other robots) I wanted to go for more of a style aspect instead of trying to be as competitive as possible, and somehow this has been somewha-... what? Were you expecting some sea themed robot, or a robot named after a mythological creature?! No just cause my channel name is The Seaborg and most of my other robots are sea themed (Screw you Siren) doesnt mean i make them all the time!

All jokes aside hope you enjoy these guys!

Made a DSL Replica, I dont think its very good but hey, its something.

BETA

Screenshot 2017-09-27 18.38.34.png

A good thing about it is that its a SHW, so I can make my own version and enter it into competitions, and if any of you remember the mini BETA from my John Reid's Coffee Table robot, then yeah, think of this as a giant version of that if you want.
Love to hear your thoughts guys ^_^

Said it when you first showed it but I ****ing love it. Would be nice if you could get it into the SHW limit but I completely understand if you don't wanna try and trim the weight with how good it looks right now

thanks ^_^ I could try and cut the weight down by removing the spikes and changing the tail back to a battleaxe to make it a SHW then I could enter it into tourneys, and I probably will, but I really like this design as I keep saying, it has so much more character then the stock one has

So over the few weeks I have been making some of my robots from stock into DSL, and I thought I'd start with the House Robots from my YouTube series: Battlebots VS Robot Wars. So the first one I did was the one I felt deserved a good design, Carnivore!

Carnivore.png

Now as you see in the splash, there is the stock equivalent for those who dont watch the series (watch my videos, watch all my videos, send me presents XD) just so you can get a rough idea of the changes I made, it still has the 4WD but the wheels are much thicker meaning its less likely to be turned onto its back, oh and the wheels are protected by my usual disc and angled cross design, the jaws are still there but have been turned more into the face rather than just the teeth, meaning I could add more detail onto its back, where you can see the spikes I added to make it more like a creature and less like a robot, and instead of having a battleaxe for its tail, it has 4 large typhoon teeth that make this weird design that strangely (at least in my eyes) give it a bit more character, especially since the tail can now flail instead of being more static, meaning carnivore has more character and isn't just a bland robot.

I feel like I did well with this, but I would love to hear what you think about it so do let me know ^_^

That Mechavore replica is ****ing genius!

Thanks tommy, its a pain in the ass for anything that isnt an axe or a flipper to kill it due to so many ramplates, even pop-up's somewhat struggle to kill it within a minute

those wheels are easily the most ingenious use of stock components i've seen in months

Thanks, I noticed with a few replicas of Wheely Big Cheese in stock that they used re-textured wheels or didnt have red wheels at all,  so I kinda wanted the red wheels in stock but also with the spikes in the wheels too, and what you see is 3 hours of constant fiddling around with the wheels trying to make it drive as smooth as possible, plus they take up most of the weight of the robot, but im glad people are liking my stock replicas ^_^

Got enough ram plates? oof  ;)

i think the correct responce is " 'ave you got a srimech? " XD
and yeah the ramplates are a bit overkill so it will take anything that isnt a flipper a lot to beat it

Well, 'ave you got a shrimech?

Course I dont :P

Do I see intersecting components on a replica? :rage

Oh right, it's in stock. :thumbup

Yeah WBC's wheels and Mechavore had to be made like that ^-^

I found another bot in my designs folder that needed to be updated and I kinda wanted a challenge... so here it is... Mechavore!

Screenshot 2017-09-21 19.21.44.png

This was a pain in the ass to get the extenders which hold the wheels and ram plates in place, I wanted them to look as seamless as possible, and I feel like I've done a fairly decent job, I would love to hear your opinions on it so please do tell me... also this happened
