Hey GTM users!

For anyone who doesn't know me, I'm The Barangoat, the guy behind BattleBots Reborn.

Last fall I held a 22-bot tournament, The BattleBots Reborn Cup, where I pitted my heavyweight recreations against each other for ultimate glory. Well, the tournament is back, and it's gonna be way better than last time. You won't even recognize it as the same thing!

You can see a lot of what's to come just in the trailer: 49 bots, with last year's field significantly upgraded. Better graphics. BattleBots-skinned Combat Zone. And much more!

This is me trying to get y'all hyped for the start, May 15. I will also be active on Reddit with bot previews starting March 27, one a day, until the premiere in May. I guess I can share them here too lol.

It's time for the bot previews! One bot a day for the next 49 days. First up, Bender!

-Career Record: 0-1
-Last Season Finish: First Round
-Offseason Upgrades: Longer blades
-Strengths: Weapon’s reach
-Weakness: Slow, No srimech, Vulnerable weapon

A poorly made Bender appeared in episode 18 of BattleBots Reborn. His only fight since was a frustrating defeat to frenZy in the opening round of the first season of the cup. After a bright start, Bender’s blade was chopped off by frenZy’s hammer. However, he survived the three minutes after frenZy’s hammer broke off before he could get the knockout. Although still slow, Bender’s longer blades will look to cause some upsets in this season.

well it certainly isn't the worst replica i've ever seen. you could almost definitely make the chassis smaller and make an attempt at skinning it, but the basic shape is there and you can tell what bot it is at a glance.

So my original plan was a post a day on here and Reddit, but on Reddit I was advised not to spam new threads like that. A mod advised a once-a-week post, so since I'm doing that, I'll do it here too. Every Monday I'll post 7 bots. Should make everything easier.

Bender will soon be getting work done to him. I'm not the happiest with the body shape so I may do a full rebuild
