are you hosting with parsec? gameranger?
what mod?
what time?
where are you located (for lag)?
etc

and you may want to join the gtm discord so you can get people's attention immediately

parsec and gameranger are two programs we use to host ra2 marches. hosting directly from the multiplayer tab in ra2 will leave you with a whole lot of nothing since the gamespy servers went down. if you want to host you absolutely need the help of 3rd party software to even hope to get it to work.

on lan it works fine on the other hand. you can host local marches no problem.

I also suggest discord because otherwise you will probably be disappointed that no one knows when to join your matches. just trying to save you some grief
