Do you have $400,000?Nope, i don't even have 50 dollars. :approve:
I already HAVE a first car, and it's a piece of sh*t 1970's ford.
Mine was a '93 Buick Century... That car was The sh**! Literally, it was named "The sh**". I totalled that sucker 3 times and it was still driveable up to the day it was sold for scrap.
I don't have a car yet, I'm under 16 and Gran Turismo 5 is the closest racing game to a real life thing.
Put a well built 454 in it with a turbo 400 with a slight stall and a 9" with 3:73 gears and it would be drive-able.
And check out iRacin for the most realistic (I'm a certified fanboy :gawe:). You have to be 13 though, and its pretty hard. And people hate "chipmunks", which are prepubescent little boys like you spamming the mic chat with your little high pitched voices.
...And check out iRacin for the most realistic...
Lawl, how did this go from first cars too iRacing ?
Oh god that green one is horrible. Then get a better one.
But I'm gonna tune it up into similar to this:Going for the "Mr Bean" look?

The SL2 weights about the same as the Puma, does 0-60 in 7.5 seconds, has four doors, looks a heck of a lot better, and gets great mileage.

I like the SL2 because they actually tried to make it look sleek without making it one of those horrendous bubbles cars in the 90s slowly transitioned into.

I would refer to the 90s more as boxes then bubbles, and sleek=/=good looking in the Saturn's case. It just looks... boring
Theres nothing special about it at all. The only thing remotely different is the front, and it doesn't look fast. It doesn't look exciting. It doesn't look fun.
And whats the point of buying any car if you know you aren't going to like it. I would hate that thing if I had one.
Guys, could you hold this argument until my popcorn's ready? This is getting entertaining :laughing

What's so special/exciting looking about a bubble on wheels? It's not exotic or streamline looking, it just looks like every other late 90's bubble on the street.
Also, how do you know I'm not going to like it? I already told you I like the way it looks, and it's got numbers on par with an Acura Integra from 6 years later. I don't see what's not to like.

If anyone needs a Newly rebuilt 4.3 L V6 with under 5000 miles on it, let me know... :'(
What the heck did you do?
I ran into the back of another truck.
Yeah... I loved it, too. I like my vehicle to stand out and it definitely did that.
Hm...It would be cheaper to install a motor in the back, and cut the entire front half off.

Yeah I pretty much hated that thing. Still, I do kinda miss it. Flooring my Moldsmobile is so boring compared to the Camry because the thing is too damn smooth. When I floored my Camry it slammed my head into the seat and made the most ungodly sound (the thing had a massive exhaust leak). Even though it never really went all that fast, it was great fun because the thing sounded like it was going to explode. (http://fi.somethingawful.com/images/smilies/emot-v.gif)
Also, getting in a major accident just sucks.
I was driving to pick someone up from work during the winter and was stopped on the main county road to turn left because there was a car coming the other way and some lady hopped up on pills just slammed full speed into the back of my brothers ford focus totalling it. I actually went into the other lane I was hit so hard and my seat was reclined once I finally stopped.
But isn't smooth a GOOD thing (in most cases)?
But isn't smooth a GOOD thing (in most cases)?
Would be, if smooth in this case didn't equal mushy and bad handling. I took a 90 degree turn today at 30 mph, the thing barely made it around without coming off the road. Not only that, but the suspension clanged and and made some rather scary sounds. Not doing that again.
Also, here is the car.

Street raced a couple weeks ago in the rain at 1AM. Some fat dude in a 90's V8 GMC truck tried to pass me in the right lane before the two lanes merged, and I wasn't having any of it. I was driving a carload of five people (Around 1000 pounds give or take) in my 4Cyl Nissan Altima:

I ****ing won.
He didn't weight 1k... He ended up going to the same place I was going, I saw him get out of his truck.
Racing+Land Rover???
Racing+Land Rover???
My dad had a racing spec Rover SD1 3500. Therefore, the bodywork almost whips off the car when you slam the brakes. It also had no ground clearance and a complicated exhaust system that took the manifold from 8 pipes to just 1.

Argh! British Leyland. Wouldn't touch them with a bargepole....

Really? Even when they gave us...oh, I don't know...perhaps the Triumph series, the Jaguar XJ-S, the Rover SD1, the Range Rover, the Mini, the MGB, and the Jaguar XJ6?
And how can people have not heard of the car company Rover? The Rover V8 was the most-used V8 engine in the world, until it finally was stopped in production due to British Leyland having trouble. They are a key British car manufacturer, like Aston Martin, Lotus, or John Cooper Works.
I've never heard of Rover, either and I am a car guy. Have you ever heard of AMC? Probably not...
Well, that's good... But I've still never actually heard of Rover.
My point is that just because we haven't heard of a car company from a country in which we do not live doesn't mean we are stupid or anything.
Well, that's good... But I've still never actually heard of Rover.Well, with all the car games and such, we get force-fed the car companies that exist in america, and meanwhile you lot have no interest in British car companies.

That's because Britain doesn't know how to make video games any more.
Doesn't matter. The games are made by Japan.

Although, it is my opinion that a good percentage of British cars are "wimpy". Not meaning to offend anyone, and my opinion can be swayed.

If you were talking about this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rover_V8), it's actually a Buick engine. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buick_V8_engine#Buick_.22Small-Block.22)
Buick did use it for a couple of years, I have seen them. They were so tiny and underpowered that they didn't make the grade as Buick motors of the day were 401, and 425 CID and Buick was a Luxury/Sport crossbreed.

Fair enough. In Britain we care more about going 'round a corner rather than having a big block engine, though.

Since the engines fit the bill for Britain (not too heavy, not too big), they became very well-known over here.
Ha ha, yeah. The Holden/Vauxhall Monaro started the trend IMO :D

Where's that? (I'm British)
Typical Americans, no disrespect, but you always have to do something bigger and better and burn about 100000 gallons of petrol doing it.... I (and IRW) are perfectly content with our 3.5 litre V8's, they're all we need.
Well you didn't really need the extra power much, considering 90% of your driving experience in England is idling in the inevitable traffic jam or maneuvering through cramped cities with archaic street layouts.Actually, we don't spend a lot of time in cities. Well, I don't because I be a country boy. But a lot of roads are actually country 'B-roads'. So no, we don't spend a lot of time like that.
We like big engines over here because we have these things called highways. They're like your roads, except they're wider than 4 feet across, you go fast on them, and you don't always get stuck in traffic on them.We have these magical things called 'Motorways', where we also drive fast, and it has 3 -or even 4- lanes on each side. They're exactly the same as you have. And we sometimes need to prove worth on them, thus we need power sometimes. Otherwise you don't get to use the overtaking lane.
Yeah, that looks like an A-road in Britain. Of course, we don't have roads as smooth as that, because of our local councils. And they aren't as long, because we aren't as big a country.
Nah, it was Holden. We just shipped it over to america and they put a vauxhall badge on it :P
