Yeah I had a pretty good laugh when this whole toxic community stuff was coming up, but the discord is really next level retarded. I'm personally a fan of ironic sh**posting and find it funny, but there's a time and a place lmao. When there's a joke to be made, take the shot, but when the ra2 chat is nothing but sh**posts its not worth reading. I want to read what about what you guys are making, but even scrolling until I find a bot image is painful.
Half the time I spend in the discord is literally spent asking who I am even talking to. It doesn't really matter, but I guess I like to know who I'm talking to. You can make notes on each profile but gl actually getting a serious answer to who's who.
I've just given up trying to follow the discord. I'll chat with whoever is online at the time and whatever convo is going, but there's no reasonable way to keep up on what's happening.
On the other end though, some of you need to stop being so damn soft. Jokes are jokes. Don't feed the trolls. I dont know how to word this without sounding like I'm saying don't be a bitch, but ofc people are going to keep pushing buttons if you show their getting a rise out of you.
I do, however, agree the discord is not a good representation of the community. Like Kill said, there are literally no issues on the actual forum. I seriously thought you were joking with this whole toxic community thing for months, doot. I thought it was just some of that great ironic humor leaking over to gtm. Like others have said though, there is value in the immediate bot feedback for small tweaks before posting, but I don't really agree with sending people to the discord until they're ready for that advanced level humor. I can definitely see how some people would be turned off by it.
