I recently watched the first film with a buddy, mainly for the lulz and to see if we can endure it.
We barely could. It was worse than we ever expected (and we didn't expect anything good at all).

do people watch this stuff? It was 60% awkward stares and the POWER OF MOTION BLUR HECK YEAH. The acting was absolutely awful. Camera work mainly consisted of shaking and retarded angles. The editing was bad, and I mean it, BAAD. It was so badly cut that some scenes were WAY longer than they should be. The biology classroom scene? Why the

would you make it so long?

Also, the story? Seriously? I know, it's a movie based off a book, but it made absolutely no sense. The dialog was retarded, with gems like "But I am already dieing!". Teen drama. Also, way to punish the only good character int he movie, the dad. It was the only person I felt bas about when that bitch treated him like this.

I just can't say anything more about this crap. Most of the time my jaw was near the floor, I never expected somebody can even ACCEPT this sort of "movie".

Anyone here seen it? Opinions? We will probably be watching New Moon tomorrow (ogawd), I'll share my thoughts.

My sister watched it last spring on DVD while I was making sushi. Since I was busy at the time it didn't really grab my attention, but I wouldn't have found it interesting anyway. I haven't heard her opinion though.

She will most likely tell you that she liked it. The series is very much aimed at the teen/preteen girl demographic. This is very obvious in the way that they craft the main male character's personality and such. Dark, mysterious, has a shell that conveniently breaks apart with the "right" girl. Etc etc. Chicks adore the whole thing... because oddly enough, it is what they crave in real life.

I don't wanna see Twilight for 2 reasons:

1. I think the whole thing is stupid.
2. I would get teased a school if anyone saw me go watch it in theaters.

and I think a little older, my sister likes it and she is 23

personally I am glad I dont have a girlfriend while there is all this Twilight love going around otherwise I would probably have to sit through them all and comment positivity on them :P

As a huge fan of old horror movies, I cannot condone Twilight. When watching the first flick, Robert Pattinson came off as more creepy than attractive. Maybe the girlies with low self esteem are able to get past the fact that he's an old man who's still in high school and sparkles when exposed to sun, but I can't.

Agreed. He's what, 200 years old? If I were that old, I would not still be going to high school. High school sucks. What sucks even more is Forks, WA. Seriously, there's nothing there.*

While I don't like how MUSE is being abused by Deviantart girls, it did make that random baseball scene tolerable.

*Note--The high school used in the first film was actually Kalama High School**. My city is about 11 miles north of Kalama. While Kalama doesn't suck as much as Forks, it still sucks. Its main claim to fame is that Elvis Presley ate at one of their restaurants. What's good about Kalama is that it's right on I5, which will take you to Portland, OR in about 30 minutes (whereas it takes me about 40).

**Note 2--They were originally planning on using my former high school as the high school in the movie as it has some kick ass old school architecture. That would have been awful, though. "Yeah, I went to Twilight High..."

There is actually a spoof on Youtube that my girlfriend showed me that deals with that issue. Just search "Twilight spoof".
