I'm surprised there's no Thread About...

The Simpsons. That's right. The most awesome TV Series ever in history. Anyway, this is thread for discussing about The Simpsons AND I got some kind of The Simpsons GTM Edition... Not sure how it would work but who knows.

Frankly I hate the Simpsons now. I watched the skits when they were just an additive for "The Tracey Ullman Show" and then the first 3 or 4 seasons worth. It was funny at times. I wore a Bart Simpson shirt as a kid. It was pretty cool. Until I realized...

Thing...

90% of the jokes are rehashed and beaten to death. A human being can only laugh at a Homer simpson "D'oh" so many times before it just becomes stale. But, the writers insist, and they have the same crap and the same lines happen to the same characters over and over and over with different plots for each episode. It just gets tiring. Frankly I am surprised that the series has gone on for as long as it has.

Please don't be offended though, that is just my opinion. I hate the show, not the viewer.

I agree with JD. It was funnier when it was older.

Actually it's the same with Family Guy. But Family Guy still has funny stuff in it :P

Pretty much. Like Saturday Night Live, unfortunately. Both do put out some chuckles now and then, just rarely.

But yeah, Futurama's more consistent, so I prefer that instead. :P

Hardly ever watched Futurama, (5 episodes that I can remember) but from what I can remember, the humour and SFX in it are a lot better than a certain son of simps.

oh! someone who watched the simpsons back in 99 :D How old have you been there? -2?

I`m not a huge fan of american dad. I prefer Futurama, South Park and Family guy. and my favorite Sitcoms are Scrubs and How I met your mother. else I`m not watching TV that much.

American Dad is about 100 times better than Family Guy, but nobody that I talk to agrees with me.
