Title: The Razer Switchblade
Post by: russian roulette on February 05, 2011, 09:17:18 PM
This thing is a thing of it's own breed!
My personal opinion about it is that it it has potential and I freakin want one now.
Turn On's
1. The keyboard (Optimus Maximus anyone?)
2. The Idea
3. The Skin Overlay
4. Wifi AND 3g radio
5. No wasted space/ no stupid trackpad
6. Portability/ 7" screen (finally something portable that will meet the hardcore gamer demographic/ Sony's NGP's competition)
Turn Off's
1. Switchblade is only a codename (duh)
2. Intel Atom Processor (I was hoping at least i3 or Tegra 2)
3. Relatively laggy screen (video below)
4. SOUNDS expensive (hoping not but it probably will)
5. Not even slated for release
6. Bulky (thickness is ridiculous)
7. Touchscreen/ Resolution (gamers can care less about a touch screen, include a mouse and make the screen a high resolution and we are fine)
8. Might be headed to a network (net neutrality meets hidden fees and data charges)

So what are your opinions on this Optimus Maximus, Asus eeePad, HP Mini hybrid?

It looks quite nice, but I bet it's going to cost a whole lot of money. I'd rather have a dedicated machine that can play the games I want to without it costing an arm and a leg.
