Hah, I got to sleep just before you got up.. but that's because I was up leaking the new Muse album, but youknow.

ANYWAY I have been quiet for a week or so and I am announcing my glorious return from the land of refreshing Muse forums waiting for a leak.

From what I've heard the new Muse is a pile of wank but whatever.

Dunno whether you're on about the recent singles or the album. Ironically they released some of the worst material on the album as singles. See what you think of..

I dunno man, it still sounds like the band is going through the issue that The Smashing Pumpkins had after Adore, only instead of running out of originality it's resulting in the music effectively being blotted out by Matt's ego. The synth parts aren't effective for any sort of progressive reason and aren't apllied in a way that sounds particularly tasteful, but unlike Queen it's not done in some self conscious and amusing way, and there isn't the sort of Brian May/Freddie Mercury style leadership.. Plus there's virtually nothing of bassist guy and drummer guy (who are so irrelevant here that I can't remember their names).

I guess the most accurate comparison I can make is with Ziltoid The Omniscient , which seems to suffer the same problem that the guy in charge is getting out of hand but not applying the ridiculousness in an effective way, which effectively leads to some fun parts but actual songs that are lacking immensely.

All I'ma say, is on this album - for the first time - are 2 songs not only written by someone else, but sung by someone else (both written/sung by Chris, the bassist)
