Rex Garrod
« on: April 10, 2019, 01:52:02 AM »
A Robot Wars legend passed away on Monday. Although I never met him, and don't know much about him, I show him respect and may he Rest In Peace.
Best Regards,

Skull Kid

Rex Garrod was the captain of Robot Wars Series 2 runner up Cassius, He previously entered the 1st Series with Recyclops and entered Series 3 with Cassius 2, he retired from Robot Wars after Series 3 because of behind-the-scenes incidents.

Rex Garrod was always one of the legends in my book, even if the producers would disagree. He was always the one I was rooting for. An absolute legend, lost from us by time, may he Rest in Peace.
I shouldn't have come here

My bad, someone already broke the news in the chat. Still, a thread about the same thing doesn't hurt, where it can be discussed. Let's hope Rex is now somehow having a better time, wherever he is, if anywhere at all :(

EDIT: I saw you broke the news already Kix. I hope you don't mind me posting this thread about the same subject. I didn't know you already mentioned it.
Best Regards,

Skull Kid

Recyclops and Cassius were revolutionary. The sport would not be the same without him. Now he can introduce the afterlife to srimechs. RIP Rex Garrod

It's very sad to hear about someone who contributed, and made an impact on the UK Robot fighting, has pass away this week. From what he has done from not just Robot Wars, but also for all other stuff he has done over the years, including the creation of Brum. He will always remain in our hearts.

It's been over a month and i'm still sad he's gone. Recyclopse was the robot that made Robot Combat my first Special Interest. It was a shame he left over safety concerns on the old set.
