My Robot Wars collection (pullbacks, DVDs, games and books)
« on: August 04, 2014, 09:32:38 AM »
Here's my full Robot Wars collection. As a collector, I have collected all of the house robots (am a HUGE fan of them <3) still new and sealed. Plus tons of more things:
New and sealed pullbacks
DVDs, games and books
Used and played with pullbacks
Best Regards,

Skull Kid

Why do you keep the red things on Firestorm?

Epic dude :D

I'm impressed that you've got a working Chaos 2, Wheely Big Cheese and Razer since they're the ones that usually break first.

Thanks! Yes, I am indeed VERY careful with these toys ^^ Would never ever sell the sealed one's, or my played with one's, either

Seeing no boxed copy of Extreme Destruction (GBA) In your collection makes me feel like a very lucky man... Such a good game, as well.

My WBC is the only one of those 3 still not broken.

I remember having big polystyrene blocks fight Razer and have its claw crush down as it would in fights IRL (and I still do, it's fun), it only has one wing ATM for other reasons.
My chaos 2 toy's button broke and a wheel fell off, disassembled it for a new paint job and taking the other wheel off
My firestorms tag for the button on the inside of the flipper came off, so it's stuck permanently upwards, getting a new paint job as well
My WBC toy's flipper fell of and is lost
My panic attack is still ok
My Dantomkia toy is ok, but for some reason when I was seven I used to gnaw on the flipper end and the paintwork is blerg
Shunts ok, paintwork on the axe tip again is blerg
Matilda's ok
Sir killalots ribs are missing
Sergeant bash is ok
Stingers tyre is missing

...and that's all I can remember without having a look

YAH hardcore playing 1!!!1!11   :dumb)

I'll show my pullbacks:

Random facts:

Dantomkia, Wheely Big Cheese and Panic Attack are in perfect condition.
The Dantomkia I own is actually my 2nd one. The 1st one got lost while on a holiday to Fermanagh back in 2005.
Pussycat's blade is broken in half.
Chaos 2 and Razer has lost it's wheel and wings respectively.
Firestorm's front wheel's are gone. Took it out cause I thought it would improve the wedge.
Sir Killalot, Matilda and Hypno-Disc has lost it's hammer, chainsaw and other interchangeable back respectively.
X-Terminator was the latest one I got. I bought back in 2010.

Also used to have Dead Metal, Shunt, Growler, Stinger and Tornado. Stinger was buried in the sand by my older cousin around 2007. He thought it would be funny to see me run around trying to find it. Can't remember what happened to Tornado and Growler. Stinger and Shunt got lost in the Great Move in which me and my brother had to move to my Auntie and Uncle's in Armagh 10 years ago on 3rd September.

I also own all the Robot Wars cards and Robot Wars: Arenas of Destruction for PC. Threw out the Board Game a while back to make room in my closet.

I've moved to other forums. Under a different name. This is where it all began.

When it comes to pullbacks, I would say that I have every single one, to my knowledge. I remember being really happy about getting Stinger one Christmas, no idea why but I loved Stinger back in the day. I also had two remote-controlled bots, Tornado and Sir Killalot. I don't think the SK's arms moved but I found them cool as a kid anyway. I had two arenas, one for the pullbacks and another for the mini figures I had (the mini figures were cool but broke too easily.)

I have all the DVDs, to my knowledge. I have a VHS and a DVD of the first World Championship.

I have Arenas of Destruction and Advanced Destruction. I don't have the Extreme Destruction ones, it's sad that Extreme Destruction is probably the only original Xbox game that won't work for the 360. I have some of the battle cards but I think they're in the loft.

I have a decent amount of books but they're in the loft with my pullbacks (and I cba go up there), so I don't know which ones I have. I remember having fun reading them, though.

Reading through this post, I never realised how much of a RW junkie I was as a kid. Good times.

Yup, that's how I play with them :)

Also, does anyone here know how to achieve this? Without support from my hand? :S

You could always go the collectible anime figure route and use a clear acrylic stand to hold it there.

Awesome collection btw!!
The rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated.

Hey there, thanks for your kind words RFS! :D Yes, that could work. My first thought was to "increase" the weight of Sir Killalot at the rear, somehow... anyone? More ideas are welcome!

What are you trying to do? Keep it in that position by itself?

Yes, that's perfectly what I want to do :) any idea? Maybe some "sticky stuff" like tape or something. I remember from one of my DVD's that Sir Killalot did indeed pick up Hypno-Disc, when it battled Pussycat, but tipped onto his face when stopped by the pit.

To keep Sir K's arm up, you could make a little cardboard triangle and tuck it under the gap between the base of the arm.  Might have to double or triple-reinforce the triangle to keep it strong.

To keep the claw closed, maybe jam a hairpin into the "switch" to keep it from opening?  Might break it, I'm not sure.
