Ones you build yourself. I think.

I want to see if there are any good ones I can get out of the box first.

Unfortunately, if you buy from a vendor... prepare to overpay for the machine.  Prebuilt gaming machines are terribly overpriced.

If you build the machine yourself, you can save a ton of money but you have to invest quite a bit of time and effort into it.

To answer your question though:

I am personally fond of Velocity Micro and Falcon Northwest Gaming machines.

Falcon Northwest's Fragbox is your best bet when you want something that is space efficient and is great with games.

It's upgradeable, right?

Yes, but take note that if you want the best upgrade ability, you should build it.

Indeed. I built my current computer, and it cost around $500 less than what it would have if I got one pre-built.

We discussed this already, it's much better to build your own PC.

check out cyberpower, I haven't ordered from them, but they seem good.

BTW: I recommend you wait a year if you want a good gaming pc not urgent, because you will realize that the pc you buy now could be 200 dollars cheaper in half a year or so. For example a graphics card I bought in 2010 is now 100 dollars cheaper.
