Yeah, turns out I can actually make half-decent music.

Thanks, man! I've actually gotten a lot better, and I'm planning to release an album, that is, if I can get on a record label. If I do make an album, would you be willing to put some of your tracks on it? You'd get full royalties, and 1/(however many tracks there are) of the profit made off of said album.

Speaking of which, does anyone know of a record/label that I could sign onto? I'd really like to get this out the door soon-ish.

Noticed you drums sound real flat. I'd try getting something like EZ Drummer or Superior drummer when you have the cash, or for a birthday or something.

What do you mean, they sound 'Flat'? I have no idea what that's meant to mean :L

ok in music when you're tuning schtuff, it's either flat or sharp. When it's flat, it's a really low out of tune sound, when it's sharp, it's a really high sound out of tune sound. you're going to want it to be in tune.

Ah. Ok. No offense, but that's one of the things I couldn't really care for.

sometimes people use it as a way of adding to the effect of there sound, but i from being a band geek, being out of tune is a bad thing. :P
But what you REALLY want to steer clear of when tuning is when the note's so out of tune it sounds like a completely different note.

Also, the snare sounds real bad. When I said flat I partially meant what Enigma said but also the fact that they have no dynamics or actual punch, which is the unfortunate thing with standard midi drums. As I said, something like EZ Drummer or Superior Drummer would seriously spice up your drum sound and make it sound much more dynamic.
Here's an example, although they haven't reverbed the drums enough IMO.

As, so you're saying I need to put Reverb into my drums...

WHY DIDN'T YOU JUST SAY THAT THE FIRST TIME!?

That's not what I said at all. I said it can help, but their drum sound is much, much better and more dynamic than yours, I'm afraid.

You may as well add reverb for now, as well as boost the midrange if you can for the snares.

Don't bump topics unless you have something useful to say, that someone else hasn't already.

...Still, how long do you spend on them? Sounds like you just samples some random songs and put them together, but that's just my opinion, if anything, i'd recommend using a sound font and try something more original, but that's just what i think.

This is coming from someone who never really made something original, i know, i'm a bad person. XD

I've made a song you might want to have on your album when you make it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDJvbF1f0_c&feature=plcp&context=C3a8fc0fUDOEgsToPDskKbfKS51DVZgTaKr6We2MYn# (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDJvbF1f0_c&feature=plcp&context=C3a8fc0fUDOEgsToPDskKbfKS51DVZgTaKr6We2MYn#)
I know its not the best song and not dubstep but I thought i would put it forward to see what you think

I'm sorry, but anyone who knows me knows that I dislike Dubstep, whether it's made by a friend or not. I appreciate the effort, and for Dubstep, it's pretty good, but It's just not my type of thing. Sorry, mate. But, keep trying at what you do; you're a good guy, and your music is pretty good.
