Eurovision Song Contest 2015
« on: May 11, 2015, 06:09:27 AM »
Anyone else watching this year except me?

I have a feeling that UK has good chances this year. There are so many boring ballads while UK, Finland and couple others are different compared to everyone else.

I seem to be the only guy in Britain that likes our entry, it's right up my alley.

I think I got my top 10 sorted out.

1. Georgia = Nina Sublatti - Warrior
2. Sweden = Måns Zelmerlöw - Heroes
3. Belarus = Uzari & Maimuna - Time
4. Australia = Guy Sebastian - Tonight Again
5. Moldova = Eduard Romanyuta - I Want Your Love
6. Estonia = Elina Born & Stig Rästa - Goodbye to Yesterday
7. Switzerland = Melanie Rene - Time to Shine
8. United Kingdom = Electro Velvet - Still in Love With You
9. Finland = Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät - Aina Mun Pitää
10. Denmark = Anti Social Media - The Way you Are

My bets to top 3 in the Grand Final are

1. Estonia

2. Georgia

3. Sweden

Electro-swing is my favourite genre of music behind VGM. I love this song.

I'll watch just to make fun of them.

I was watching inbetween connection error dialogs from the Splatoon public test issues, and I was surprised we got that many.

Then again I also didn't give the slightest ballsack about what songs I did hear

Came up with a couple of jokes last night to do with it:

I. Any countries bordering Russia that didn't vote them are probably being invaded as we speak.

II. My family had the idea of letting the rest of the world vote instead of the European countries to make it much more balanced...
...

In all honesty though, I expected that we'd do MUCH better. I'm still gob-smacked after France didn't give us any points since electro-swing is quite big over there.

I don't care about that, I just care about the fact that the only good song came pretty much last.

Australia was pretty good too, though.

Eurovision ballad contest is over for another year. Seriously, is it just me, or did half-three quarters of the songs there just blend into one-another? And our song this year just seemed a bit tryhardy if I'm honest. 'The thing that won the past few years has been some catchy upbeat bulls***, let's make something like that.'.

Maybe I'm just salty that they didn't have any rock songs this year. I did quite like Georgia's and Armenia's songs though.
Yes that sequence of words I just said made perfect sense.

Keep in mind that they're mentally handicapped and they are not pretending to be something else. In my opinion, I wasn't fan of the song but really happy for the guys for getting this kind of opportunity.
