but yea seriously adultswim said theyre going to be airing the lost episode of dexters labratory this tuesday. hope i can catch it when it hits YT or AS.com or where ever https://twitter.com/adultswim/status/293180330964299776 (https://twitter.com/adultswim/status/293180330964299776)
from what ive seen AS has already pulled the internet's leg about it once/twice, i hope this time its for real (maybe someones finally told jeff?) and that this isnt one big hoax. i used to watch dexters as a kid and would love to see this unseen episode
if you guys dont have any idea what im talking about let me explain (wikipedia copypaste)-
"Dexter's Rude Removal" was only shown during an animation convention on July 12, 1998,[6] and was never aired on Cartoon Network due to excessive profane content and language. In October 2012, Genndy Tartakovsky was asked about the episode during an AMA on Reddit, and he replied "Next time I do a public appearance I'll bring it with me!".[7] A week later, Adult Swim aired a bumper about the episode and said "We'll try to get the episode to air. [stay tuned]".[8] Later on, that same month, there was a reply for an update on the status of this episode, with the Adult Swim boss saying that: "We'll think about it."[9] A third update later on gave an update that Adult Swim had the video and would put it up online with a hashtag to "#telljeff" on Twitter. Another ad a few days later hinted that the episode may be on TV.[10] Adult Swim announced that the episode will go live online on January 22, 2013.[11]
Dexter wants to make himself more perfect by removing all of his rude qualities using a "Rude Extractor". Dee Dee naturally shows up to unintentionally mess up Dexter's plan, causing both of them to be hit with an unstable beam from Dexter's invention. The beam separates them into good and evil halves, and the evil halves promptly knock their good sides unconscious. Immediately the bad halves start cursing at each other and wrecking up Dexter's lab before going to eat lunch. They continue to curse and act rudely until their good sides wake up. The good sides trap their rude counterparts in the lab, and they head downstairs to find their mother with a bar of soap, presumably to wash out her kids' mouths with.
